Brown: 'I'm Ready To Battle For A Place'   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #174 of 3869 |
Steve Brown revealed he is prepared to work hard
to be involved in Alan Curbishley's first-team plans
again, following Jorge Costa's arrival.<br> The
defender, who has made 11 starts for the club this season,
has seen more competition for places arrive at The
Valley in the shape of Costa. <br> But he is determined
to prove to Curbishley that he can still be a more
than useful member of the first-team squad. <br> Brown
says that even though over the years he has seen a
number of players arrive he has never wanted to leave
the club. <br>He said:<br>"I have never wanted to
move on. I'm comfortable at Charlton, and whenever a
new player has arrived I've just got my head down.
<br>Jorge Costa arriving has put me back in the same
situation. I will just get on with my job and see what
happens." <br><br>©teamtalk
