John Salako's second month on loan at Reading
comes to an end after their game against Port Vale when
he is set for further talks on his future.
Salako has been in fine form for The Royals after
joining them on loan in order to play first-team football
and his current spell ends after their New Year's Day
game with Vale.
The Second Division outfit are
understood to be interested in making the move permanent but
the former Coventry and Crystal Palace ace's wages
could prove to be a stumbling block.
Reading boss
Alan Pardew is expected to contact Alan Curbishley
about the possibility of extending the loan deal in the
middle of the week with a view to a permanent
move.

©teamtalk
