I think u have a good handle on it. I suspect this firing had as
much to do w/the polarizing personality of Gruden, as anything else.
Had we made the playoffs even at 10-6, I don't think they would have
been fired because winning covers problems. But there was no use in
continuing to tolerate Gruden's abrasive personality, for 9-7 again.
