Good things happen when McNabb's trying to get the ball past him, doesn't it? :-) I don't know. I don't believe the electorate's informed enough to vote him in. As a slot corner, Rhonde is a first ballot Hall of Famer. Traditionally, corners are held up to the standard of classic cover men (from Dick "Night Train" Lane to the top guy today, Champ Bailey, out here in Denver) when it comes to Hall of Fame consideration though. I think the organization has done a good job of putting him out there as the owner of the signature play in our history and as the first 20/20 (sack/interception) guy in NFL history but I don't know if that's going to be enough to get him in. His lack of consistent Pro Bowl election shows that everybody doesn't get it. We'll have to wait and see.

Amen. What about rhonde? He has carved out a niche when he wasn't "big enough or fast enough" . Does pretty good, I think. Maybe not a first ballot hall of famer, especially if Donovan Mcnabb had a vote:

It's interesting to watch the clock ticking down on the three greatest Bucs ever -- Sapp, Lynch and Brooks. My hope is that all will be Hall of Famers and that all will go in as Buccaneers. It's a "no brainer" for Sapp who never sniffed the post season in Oakland. The same goes for Brooks who should also be a lock for the Hall and, of course, has spent his entire career as a Buccaneer. Lynch is the interesting one. There was a question as to if he'd be a Hall of Famer when he left but his 3 Pro Bowl appearances here, in Denver, should've pushed him over the top. As a 9 time Pro Bowler he trails only Hall of Famer Ken Houston (10) for Pro Bowl appearances for a safety. Personally, if he'd been able to win a Super Bowl here I think he would've gone in as a Bronco. My fingers are still crossed that, at the end of the day, he'll wear Pewter and Red one last time -- in Canton.
