Thank God you're OK!! It's still very upsetting about the bike. I'm
wondering -- was it a hit & run? If not, did you get the licence
plate, insurance info., etc? If so, and you haven't already, go
immediately to the police precinct and file an accident report. You
can put in a claim with the driver's insurance company. The other
alternative is Small Claims Court but you will still need the police
report and be prepared to settle for a lot less than what you think
you should get. One last thought -- if you have renter's or
homeowner's insurance that should cover your bike too. Good luck!
