For the club to get points, we need a certain number of participants. Therefore, even a turtle like myself can help the club out just by doing a race. It's like how a baseball team needs 9 players to play a game or they may forfeit, similiar to that.

I guess it's Hannah, Colleen and I for Brooklyn so far. Yes, I'll work on more recruits. It would be fun (and motivating) to not just have a solid team for point scoring, but to train together for it as well. Women on this list: let me know if you're interested. Tell me your goal 1/2 marathon pace (if you don't know, your training pace range works too). I'll put the word out in other places as well. Thanks.

I'm in for the Manhattan 1/2 to test the waters for a competitive (with myself) Brooklyn 1/2. John and Elias--it would be great if we could get Brooklyn to count for team points! We might be shaping up to have a great women's showing!

I believe that Brooklyn Half page you linked to,
Hannah, is for the 2006 race (March 18, 2007 is a
Sunday, and if they hold with tradition, the race
will be on a Saturday, maybe the 17th?). Of course,
nothing else is traditional about the half marathon
schedule at this point!
John and Elias will be able to fill us in following
the club council meeting 1/24.
