Looks like some heavy weather but I look forward to getting together tomorrow morning for the race. Is there any plan to meet up in Central Park before the race? I am picking up my number before the race so I should be there early. Maybe we can set up a time and a place to get the BRRC together for this last race of the year. We could huddle for warmth...any time/location suggestions?
i noticed there is a NYRR race in Prospect Park next year too - unless it is a mistake, the website shows the Al Gordon Snowflake 4M in Prospect Park on Feb 21st. We will have to show strong for that one!

Let's have a good turnout for the season finale. We need 5 women for a legal team, and there have been a few races this year in which we haven't had that many. And if you've been in hibernation after the marathon, here's a good spot to make your comeback race -- it'll be 5 weeks postmarathon, and that's plenty of recovery time.
Also, don't forget that the annual team dinner is on Dec. 10, a week from Wednesday. Check the website for details.

I am happy to run it, but I am slow (probably mid-8's for a 10K; haven't raced anything less than a half marathon in the last few years so not 100% sure)....

There's no such thing as "too slow". We need 5 women to finish the race, and if 10 finish, the first 5 count, so one can't "take down" the team, but only help...
