Hi to everyone at BVH,
With Sandy's permission I have invited a friend who is a great photographer for
the Aledo Bearcats Athletic Program to photograph the Opening Day Hunt for us.
He is very excited about the opportunity to learn about our exciting sport and
to get some great shots for everyone. He does not charge a hourly or flat fee to
photograph us for the morning but he wants to make sure that there is enough
interest from people that it will make it worth his time. He has a personal
website, www.saltforkimages.com<http://www.saltforkimages.com>, where you can
check out his previous work. He is very prompt at posting pictures and is very
reasonably priced. His prices are 8x10 = $20, 5x7 = $11 and 4x6 = $4. He also
has the ability to print large photos on canvas, wallet size photos and photos
on various gifts. Please reply to yokemps@...<mailto:yokemps@...> if you
are interested so that we can judge the interest level. He is a fantastic guy
and he is very interested in photographing our Opening Day hunt.

Hello all, I got this email this week and wanted to forward it out. Bob Thomas is a very reliable source. In fact, his son makes western saddles here in Texas. Michael is an agent in Colorado where Joe and I volunteer.
Hello Equine Community,
Is anyone in the need for a new dressage saddle? Cactus Saddlery is willing to giveaway a new dressage saddle, all they are asking is $50.00 to cover the cost of shipping. You will have to buy stirrup irons. If you are interested please contact Bob Thomas or Craig Sloan at Ritta West 303-663-2992.

I am going to offer body clipping this year for your horse if you want him clipped for the hunt season. I can come out to your place and do the traditional fox hunter and full body clips. Give me a call or email if you're interested.
ATTACHED IS THE FIXTURE CARD FOR 2009/10. PLEASE SAVE IT FOR YOUR REFERENCE. (Gail, can you attach it to the web sight?)

All,
I'm not sure if Sandy has posted the advert prices yet, or whether they were handed out yesterday at Rhonda's. In any case, here is a quick description of how I'd like to get advertisements for the horse show program:
1) Best way to receive ad "copy" is in digital format (via email) - either in .pdf, .gif, or .jpg format.
2) I can scan business cards and other documents, if necessary, on my color scanner at home or recreate from scratch IF it is text only, no pictures or symbols
3) If I must, I can go to a business's website (if they have one) and copy an image directly from it.......this is not the best as sometimes the image is fuzzy/out of focus when it tranfers.
Deadline: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2009 for ALL articles, photos, adverts
I need time to gather everything, lay it out, proof it, then put to proper format and to disk for printer to look at. The printer needs to be certain it is a good file before I leave town.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!!!! Barn Party/silent auction fund raiser has been scheduled for the first weekend in October 3. It will be the "kick off" for the 2009-10 season. Please plan to attend, bring your donations for the silent auction, remember this is a MAJOR fund raiser which will replenish the funds that will take us through the up coming year. We purchased several special items while in Virginia, but we need lots more. We are printing invitations, if you know someone that would like to come, please let us know so we can get them an invitation.
I will be out of town this weekend, going to Houston for a "hip hop hustle" instructor's seminar. Kathy and Bobby will need help caring for the hounds both Sat and Sunday morning. Any help will be appreciated, about 9:00 AM both mornings.
The following weekend, we are tentatively planning a trail ride/swim party on Sunday, Aug 9th at Rocky Creek, probably after lunch so folks can go to church. I will get back with you on the time.

Hi,
Sorry I've been out of pocket with more g.kids. I will be there this Sat. and hope to make the 18th ride.
Took the puppies out yesterday, they are having funny, playing in the water and starting to listen/respond to the horn, coming back when they are called. (sometimes!!) Big hounds are well, making foxholes in the ground to keep cool and the flies off of them. They did get out Saturday, had a good time playing.
Saturday July 11th, Exercising hounds at 10:00AM. All are invited to come. We will schedule a trail ride on July 18th, I'll get back to you with the location. Sandy
We are cutting and square baling this weekend.
I got kinda last minute notice myself! I need to know aprox how many I should

In the field, $5.50 in the field, $6.50 delivered and stacked.
Please let me know ASAP.

A spray a day keeps the bugs away...Dermal Aid available at Smartpak also works for sweet itch. I spray my mare's sensitive area each evening and the problem is gone. Just another option.

Hi Everyone!
I have been asked several times this summer by my clients if there is anything to help with horse skin ailments like summer itch and I am so delighted to share this information that I was given this past spring from a trainer friend of mine. I have seen proof that this works....
It’s a little pricey but so worth the horse’s comfort. If your horse has summer itch or is allergic to the bite/saliva of the black flies, or gets fungus yuck, this fruit powder is simply amazing. It’s called Sea Buckthorn. I get it from Z Natural Products over the internet and I order the 5 lb bag which should get you through the summer months. It is simply amazing. Doing research on the fruit, it’s history goes back to Ancient Greece and it became nicknamed “Shiny Horse.” I have used it on one horse that has spent her summer years being miserable and when we put her on it this Spring, oh my gosh, it is such a blessing for her not to be in torment and no longer scrubbing her self raw. People use it as well. I feed about 4 tbsps per day, I would start with more, probably double the dosage for a week, just to tank up their system and then maintenance with the 4 tbsps.
Share this information with all your horse pals. I only wish I had stock in this company. It is important to buy the 100% pure powder. Most importantly is helping out our horse friends/partners.

I just returned from saddle fit/repair school. Loved it! If you need a saddle fit or flocking adjustments made, please let me know.
I've heard it was steaming this past week. I hope no one melted.

Sorry I missed out on Saturday. I know you had fun. I'm 95% sure I'll be out tomorrow evening. I'll call you if anything changes, also I'm scheduled to worked Saturday, so I won't be there for the walk-out.
This week: We will exercise hounds on TUESDAY evening at 6:30 PM. As always, I need some help getting them out. We will try for Thursday evening also, but please check email on Thursdays, sometimes I have a big schedule that day and don't get home in time. Saturday June 27, 10:00 AM exercising hounds.
We had a blast at Benbrook Lake, trail road for a bit, then went into the water. Can't wait to go again...
Hi all. I will NOT be able to exercise hounds this evening, Thursday, I have a full load of patients to take care of at Dr. Reddy's and will not get home in time. THANKS, See you on Saturday at Rhonda's. Sandy
Amar and I will be out of town this weekend and so will miss the fun chez Rhonda.
However, want to let you all know that I'm thinking of having the jumble sale (step-up from a garage sale, not quite estate sale) the 2nd weekend of September. Am hoping that will give people time to collect all their stuff, clean out those still decent summer clothes that no longer fit 'cause of all the weight you've lost!, the chair that's been sitting in the garage waiting to be painted, the one-too-many side tables, artwork no longer loved, etc., etc. Hopefully weather will cooperate and be nice and cool.......doubtful, but one can dream. So. As you sizzle through the summer, please clean out the garage, kitchen cabinets, attic, shed, and set aside those items that you think will appeal to city/gardening types of moderate income. I also want to price the items BEFORE the sale so as to minimize the stab in the dark pricing. To this end, feel free to put a fair price on your objects....but remember masking tape can be a pain to remove later.......so stick some sort of price sticker in an unobtrusive spot, please........
I may have sent a message about this yesterday, though not so specific. Ignore that....
Thanks in advance to everyone....y'all have a great time on Saturday!
Based on the BVH logo that Brandy put together for shirts and prints, I had Chris from QuickPrint make some vinyl for windows and trailers. I had 2 sizes made. Smaller one is in both white and green. White will show up on tinted windows and darker paints. The dark green will show up on lighter surfaces. We put the smaller white one on the back window of my truck and the larger green one on the trailer. The example pictures are not as good as they really look.
All the proceeds go to BVH.
smaller logos - green or white - $10
larger logos - green - $20
If you would like help with the application, let me know and we can have Chris and/or Nathan help.
I will bring them to the next event, and also if you want me to mail one to you just let me know.
Sandy if you would like a different size for the back of the hound trailer or if you would like to add Paradise TX under as you did before, let me know.
thanks, Kim
