Interference ?? ????   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #15759 of 16680 |
I need someone to answer a question for me.

Last Week our league bowled on lanes 1-2,3-4,7-8. The 5-6 lanes were down
because of problems with the rackers and they moved us to the 7-8 lanes. During
to first game beginning of the 2nd frame a worker dropped down onto the pin
area(racker)of lane 6 and started to work on the equipment. All you could see
was his legs and feet as he moved around and this to me was very distracting.
We bowled the 2nd frame and at the beginning of the 3rd frame he moved in such a
way that it caused me to loose my train of though and cause my to miss my spare.
I protested to the Sec of the league and was frond upon. However the worker was
told to leave the area until we were finished.

Should I have continued my protest and what should have happened?? Should the
2nd/3rd frames been done over for everyone? Was I wrong? How should I have
filed the protest and what good would it have done? By the way, we lost by 42
pins overall, so the 2nd/3rd frame could have made a difference - who knows.
And the Sec of the league is really pissed off at me now........ For so called
delaying the game that night

A mechanic working on a broken lane is NOT interference. Interference would be someone having direct contact with you during your approach. If the lanes were...

That is correct. Every league is given the option at their league meeting. You can pay for the buffer pair if you would like a pair open. I am in the business...

There are plenty of centers that do that. Before a bowler is put on a lane next to a league they are told about lane courtesy. We also have a hand out we give...
