Thanks again for your input Antoine.
I've personally have never thrown anything other than Brunswick or Ebonite. As I mentioned earlier, I am looking for a heavy oil, medium and lighter oil ball. Looking to buy 3 total.
As far as heavy goes, I am looking at the Black Widow Bite, a Morich LevRG (which you stated is more for a medium, Complete NV, or maybe a Roto Grip Cell?? I am not sure what else would be good. Suggestions would be good.
Medium I look at the LevRG, the New Ultra Zone, anything Storm maybe?
Lighter condition for late leagues but with some carrydown bowling second squad, suggestions here would be helpful.
Just trying to get a complete arsenal.

the Insane LevRG was designed to compliment the LevRG. once the LevRG is turning to much, the Insane is supposed to be able to step in and keep you playing the same area. however, the Insane does have more backend than the LevRG and if you were looking at these two balls roll down the lane at the same time, the LevRG would probably start rolling quicker as well it would start to transition sooner. but the Insane would have a much stronger backend.as for playing it on medium-heavy, i think you would have some success with the Insane LevRG, but once the heavy was just heavy, you would see the ball hesitate to make the turn down the lane.Antoine "AJ" Jones

Thanks for your input. There was one other ball I had some interest in and that was the Morich Insane LevRG. Is this for medium-heavy or just medium oil conditions?JC
Antoine Jones <bowling_aj@yahoo. com> wrote:the Complete NV would be the best heavy oil ball of the 3 you were interested in. The Widow Pearl isn't designed for heavy oil and the Twisted Fury is designed for medium to medium dry conditions. I have had luck with the T. Fury on heavier conditions because I know how to adjust my ball speed and hit the ball at the bottom more in order to get it to move with the heavier oil. If you want the heavier oil to be more under your control, I would suggest the Complete NV. Now if you are wanting a ball to tame that oil, the Columbia's Resurgence, Hammer's No Mercy Beat'n or Widow Bite, Morich's LevRG, Storm's Special Agent are all balls that can tame the oil. I started with the ball that I think would be the best bet.Antoine "AJ" Jones

What would be a great ball choice for a heavier oil condition then?
Antoine Jones <bowling_aj@yahoo. com> wrote:i think everyone has heard how i feel about the Twisted Fury. the ball is great on fresh oil, and then on dryer lanes, and on carry down. the only thing i don't like about this ball, on a pattern that is slushy on the front and bone dry on the back, it tends to be very skid/snap. and that reaction is not a reaction i prefer out of my equipment. just remember, this ball is not designed for heavier oil. a good medium condition and this ball will be great!the Complete NV is supposed to be a great ball on the heavier oil conditions than most normal house shots. it is supposed to get down the lane with ease and have more back end that the other balls in the NV series. of coarse, i haven't seen this ball yet, so i can't say what i have seen out of it. but when i see someone throw it, i will make sure to get their layout and post a little something about it. i just have a mental block against throwing those "E" balls (Ebonite).and the Widow Pearl! if you want to join the ranks of everyone else, by all means, get this ball. this ball is a great ball on a number of conditions. even though is is designed to go long and grab the back ends, i have seen this ball drilled early and it does start its transition sooner than normal and it still rolls great. all 3 of these balls a wonderful balls and they will all hold their own on the lanes. i think you will have better success out of the Complete NV if your house shot tends to be a little slushy with the oil. but overall, the Widow Pearl is going to be the best ball of the 3. not only is this ball really versatile, it is a top selling ball even still today. and of course the T. Fury. if you just like a good ball that rolls great, this one will do it. just remember, when you get on a pair that is a little oilier than you are used to seeing, this ball may let you down, unless you can comfortably play up the lane!Antoine "AJ" Jones

i know it wasn't on your list, but how about the
immortal pearl by visionary for those backends? I'm
using one, and it's been great for me. :)
