Bowling Season is just around the corner! - Corrected Version   Message List

Welcome to August and the official start of winter bowling leagues.
This is the time of year where you get out your equipment and shake
the rust off your game if you haven't been bowling during the
summer.

So how does one being to shake the rust off their games you ask? The
answer is quite simple. First off, you don't want to gregariously go
right out and start throwing the ball at 20mph down the lane. Take
five to ten minutes and so some stretching exercises with your arms
and legs. Get your abdomen loose also by doing some waist bends and
side to side movements.

Before you get to the lanes, check your ball and equipment. Do you
need new finger grips? Resurfacing? Does your thumb need tape?
Well that can be done at the lanes of course. Be careful to look
over your shoes carefully. Look at your slide sole meticiously. You
do not want any foreign objects on the sole. How to combat
moisture?
Robby's and Ebonite make shoe covers. Buy a pair. They are worth
their weight in gold. No more wet shoes as you go to the restroom.
No more stepping in wet spots on the carpeting from someone who
forgot to take off their shoes when coming in from the snow.

Now that you're all set to go, take it easy your first game. Get the
muscles used to throwing a bowling ball again. Not that you have
forgotten, you do not want to be sore in the morning. Do not over
exert yourself first time back out after a 3 month layoff. Bowl a
maximum of 3 games. Then you can steadily work back up to your
normal practice routine.
