This has nothing to do with Mushtare per se, but has to do with
prebowling... Under the new USBC rules it states that you have to give
notice to prebowl, and our leagues uphold that.... Well, a few weeks ago a
guy prebowled, shot 300... which technically counts... BUT he never gave
notice to the league... We contacted USBC for a ruling, and they left it up
in our hands... The scores he pre-bowled were not approved.... So his 300
doesn't count....
I don't see why we had to take a vote.... I mean, a rule is a rule.... He
didn't give notice until after he bowled.... so I don't see why we should
even make a consideration, but maybe I'm just not nice... haha

Furthermore, we can blame the USBC delegates for allowing pre-bowled
scores to count for awards. It was sent back to the committee again
this year. In my opinion, the only award scores that should count is
when you are bowling in your league against another team or a vacant
team if your league has an uneven number of teams. Not pre-bowled,
not post-bowled.
I can see both points of view on allowing honor scores to count with a pre
bowled series.
If the series is witnessed by a league or association officer not on the
persons team or related to the individual bowling, Yes by all means.
Everyone thinks that because you are prebowling you are going to have
fresh
oil etc. In my center it is quite contrary. We oil at approximately 5pm
every day so if you pre bowl before 5 pm you get the burnt shot from the
night before. Then if you bowl before 5pm on Thursdays you get the Wed
night Shot which could be anything from a High Volume Sport shot to a PBA
shot.
We should start a petition or something to get this changed since our
elected state, local, and national delegates don't want to do anything
about it. More and more leagues are starting not to allow pre-bowls
unless in case of an emergency. Many league have a floating sub list
or roster slots of 7 or more. This allows for each team to field a
full team every league session.
I would have to disagree with this . In my area most people are employed
working 12 hr shifts that rotate. Without pre bowling I would lose
approximately 25 to 40% of my league bowlers. I wouldn't want to pay for
someone else to bowl in my spot and we are only going to carry 4 people on
our team
