- The drawing for $32.00 in Llamabucks will be held this Tuesday. Each
point earned will be equivelent to one entry in the drawing. November's
drawing will be winner-take-all since it was an abbreviated month.

- Sunday WFL start time will remain at 10:00am as voted by the masses.
Hopefully the 10 people who voted to keep it at 10:00am will start
showing up. :)

- The first Sunday WFL match of each month (that means THIS Sunday)
will be played at Boulder Woods. All Tuesday matches will remain at
Boulder Woods.

Only 3 disc golfers ventured out of their beds on a snowy, rainy shlorp
of a day. We chose triples, so Jay Williams, Jason Munns and George
Ginter teamed up.

We figure we should all get 2 points. No one beat us, OK?

Jay's 60-foot putt on Hole 3 was the best putt of the day. He also had
the best drive of the day, winning the first-ever closest to the deer
contest.

On Hole 9, he let loose on a drive that soared above the usual line.
Good thing. Just as his disc was half way down the fairway, about 40
feet in the air, a small doe pranced across.

It probably realized that Munns was up next and wanted to get out of
the range.

A beautiful day brought 8 golfers out to Boulder Woods yesterday
afternoon including Paul who officially ended his 16-day disc golf
hiatus. Not even Fudd could put an end to Lynn's winter fun dominance
though. The format selected was Flick Drives and 7 Llamas
simultaniously groaned while Lynn smiled from ear to ear.

Lynn - 2
Paul - 1
Craig - 1
Bob - 1
Mike - 1
Chas - 1
Jeff R - 1
Jonathan - 1

Dont forget... this Sunday will be your final chance to earn WFL points
for the November drawing!!! The drawing will be held on 12/2 at Tuesday
Night WFL. You do not need to be present to win.

Only three llamas ventured out into the cold today for a little WFL
action. Big G. called it quits half way through the round due to the
lack of competition.

I managed to tank the last hole by testing out a new disc, and Mike
shot a birdie to take the lead by one stroke for the win.

Jason...I want my money back for that Monster I bought.

The format selected today was 3 mulligans.

Mike Lordan...2 points
Lynn Baker....1 point
Gerald Ford...1 point

The WFL formats used so far are:

3 Re-drives
Triples
BOB's Choice
2 or 3 Mulligans

So far, it looks like Sunday February 15th for Ice Bowl '09.

Boulder Bash VI will be moved up a couple weeks this year. The weekend
of March 28th and 29th looks good since April 4th and 5th coincides
with Bowling Green.

We have an opening during June to hold a new event if someone would
like to try out their hand at TD this year. This doesn't have to be a
PDGA sanctioned event and it doesn't have to be a charity event, but it
also could be both. Discussions may start now,.....

Llamapalooza '09 will likely be in August again. The 15th and 16th
coincide with the Vibram Open which is a very popular tournament but
far enough away to not be a conflict. However, many top players from
the area may be looking to attend that event. The weekend of the 22nd
and 23rd or the weekend after, on the 29th or 30th would also be good.

Since Paul got the ball rolling, the calendar for events happening at Creekside follows. As of today, there is nothing going on within a 100 miles, according to the PDGA website tournament calendar page. As in the past, I know our illustrious State Coordinator, will post up a calendar of events of everything going on in our state, major tours, and other events around the greater Mid-Atlantic region.

31 Jan - Crawdad Chiller III (Ice Bowl '09)
14 or 21 Mar - Kallans Memorial (depending on weather, Matt?)
11 July - Crawdad Cooker II (maybe a PDGA B tier???,looking for soponsors)
8 Aug - Ace Race '09

Other events that are probably going to occur:
Feb - Philly Open (Segley)
June - Summer SOLTstice (Hickory Run/FEW), PAWPAW Am champ.

Thats what I have right now, let me know about any changes that need to occur. Peace and good tossin',
Crawdaddy

Six golfers were present last evening for some winter fun. The chosen
format was "BOB's" choice. We made a slight alteration to the
definition and allowed "BOB" (Back of the Box) to call whatever type of
drive they wanted. Everyone in the group had to follow suit. Lynn held
on to beat the two lefties despite their efforts to turn him around on
every hole. Craig held on to win the other point after throwing some
very interesting shots including a behind the back drive (Mike Lordan
