I have looked into the affiliate program and would love to be able to participate in such a program. Unfortunately, too many of our(Creekside) members are also Llamas. I do not want to ever take anything away from Pinchot, but I must say that my loyalties lie with the Creek. If enough people are willing to step-up for the affiliate program, I will go ahead and apply. There are too many benefits for us not to consider doing such. If you take out the hardcore Llamas (Paul, Jason, Craig, 2x G, Big G, etc.), Creekside is reduced to just 8 die-hard members (becuase we live AT the course) and that is just not enough to justify the expenditure of having a club in said program.
I personally would encourage any and all who wish to join the PDGA as a Llama, but I must remain true to the course that I have put so much of my heart, soul, and time to make sure that everyone who wishes to play can. I know that we(Creekside) do not have a huge arm course, and many of the amenities of "Pro Courses" are lost on Creekside and that may be a downfall. We do not have major elevation changes or 700+ foot holes that apparently are a requisite to be a highly rated course, but I honestly believe that we have a course that is welcoming and non-threatening to the newer players and encourage those same players to return to the sport beyond playing with someone else once and then never coming back to the sport because they can't drive 300+ feet. It is a good course just to have fun.
So, as I am myself also a Llama, please do everything you can individually to help promote the sport and continue to make this the best, low cost, most inviting sport available to the masses.
Peace and good tossin'
Crawdaddy

looks like they left the Am division untouched this year. Fine by me.
is it just me, or are the ratings a lil demanding? they call out an intermediate player as 900 - 935, advanced am as 936 - 970.
thoughts anyone?
Congratulate Candace next time you see her. She turns 21 Friday night (you'll see her at the creekside icebowl on Saturday...hint hint) and she's now officially player # 34610. Watch out ladies, she's got big plans for touring this year.

(ps - we've planned a trip to the loriella challenge in VA in early march to kickstart the season. Anyone's invited)
Can Wolf be drawn again during the final 4(?) remaining WFL matches
now that it has been played?
Anyway:
1) Last
2) Best lie vs Individuals
3) Option 1
Not that I'll have a chance to play it this year anyway....

Four golfers came out for the superfun Wednesday edition of the WFL. We
played some sort of a bastardized version of Wolf. Jeff Ross took an
early lead and managed to hang on despite the late run by Jonathon Gere.
Jeff Ross - 2
Jonathon Gere - 1
Earl Frazier - 1
Craig Beam - 1
Its no wonder we didnt know the rules. Looking back, there have been
several versions of the game circulating. How do we want to play? Here
are the differences.
1. Wolf - Tee off FIRST or LAST? - Much bigger advantage in going first
since you will know where your drive is before having to decide if you
want to choose a partner. Give wolf that advantage or not?
2. Partners - when the wolf chooses a partner there are four different
options for how they can "partner". They can play Best Lie (both
playing from the same shot for one score), Best Hole (both playing
individually and only taking the best individual score), Team Net (both
playing individually and adding the scores together), or a combo where
the Wolf team plays Best Lie and the others play Individual Net.
3. Scoring - there have been two options.
- Wolf and partner win the hole: They each win 2 points.
- Non-Wolf partners win the hole: They each win 3 points.
- Lone Wolf beats all other players: Lone Wolf wins 4 points.
- Any player beats the Lone Wolf on a hole: All non-wolves win 1 point.
-or-
- Winning team: 2 points each player
- Wolf plays alone and wins:Wolf earns 3 points
- Wolf plays alone and one player beats Wolf: All players earn 2
points except Wolf.
- No Points earned for ties.
I know, pretty freakin complicated. If your still actually reading this
you must have an opinion. Lets hear it. Here are my initial
preferences...
1. Wolf tees first (I say give the wolf the advantage)
2. Combo partners - Wolf team best lie -vs- individuals (again,
advantage team wolf)
3. Top scoring method (big points for going alone as wolf and for
taking down team wolf as an individual - minimal points for beating a
lone wolf or for winning as the team wolf)
Wide open for dicsussion.
Just out of curiosity..... how long till you think this will be ready? btw, VERY COOL!!!!!!!!

Great point Jason. No one has made put forth more effort at the
Quake then Paul, and we would still be cutting the first nine
