We had 6 participants in the WFL last evening. Myself, Fud, Lynn, Jay,
Old Disc and Jeff Ross. The format was "3 Re-Putts". It came down to
the last hole, but Paul was vitorious over Lynn with a 49.
Well, some above average weather brought out ten discgolfers for the
4th WFL match. 5-disc Battle Golf was selected as the format of the
day.
2 Points:
Jason Munns
Gerry Ford
Jay Williams
Jeff Ross
Matt Hamilton
1 Point:
Paul W.
Jeff Manatt
Tyler Hamilton (battled for 15 holes!) :)
Bob Eberly
George Ginter
Next WFL match is Thursday at 4pm.
Nine volunteers gave up three hours of their time to help make some
important progress on the new course. Valuable input and lumbar
muscles selected short pin positions and finished off hole #6.
There still remains much grooming on some of the fairways,... but
they are playable. Holes 4 and 5 will be completed next weekend,
including basket installations, weather permitting.
Congradulations to Matt and Jeff for finishing the pads at Creekside!!
It sure makes a difference. I see several , non club members, playing
the course. Some players are groups and some are individuals but all
seem to be enjoying the course and the sport--- without any knowledge
of what goes into it-- but just starting and enjoyibg the sport based
on your contributions. I have used your course on different occasions
to promote disc golf to the seniors at Messiah Retirement Village and
will continue to do so with other seniors. Good luck on expanding.
Anything I can do with the township, again, let me know. Don Dillon
After the 10am WFL match, I will be working on the front nine some
more over on the new course. 12:30-3:30. Six holes are playable with
7 more soon to follow. Volunteers are needed.

In the past 3 weeks, I've
been told twice the basket tops were on the
way, but yet have not arrived... I will be contacting Innova again
this coming week to find out why!?!
All monies donated for the return shipping is still in hand, safely
awaiting the proper use.

The 9 baskets being replaced will have inner chains... and the money
raised/donated last year by a joint BWCC/HADGC event will be applied
to 9-additional sets of inner chains for the remaining baskets.
Once again, this money is still in hand, safely awaiting the proper
use.
Thanks to all who donated.... the implementation has been delayed due
to circumstances on Innova's part, but the goal has been steadily
pursued........

LVDC is having their South Mountain Ice Bowl on Jan. 27th.

Do you guys have a date set for your Ice Bowl yet? Looking to add to our list of events on our disc golf site at www.bearclaws. org.
The Hickory Run Ice Bowi is going to be Saturday, February 10. I know Tyler's is Saturday, January 6, Lime Bluff (new course by Larry Entz in Hughesville) is Sunday, January 14, and Rutgers NJ is Sunday, January 28.
South Mt. Ice Bowl at Lehigh is doing some type of Friday-Saturday event January 26-27.
Do we know how much additional cash has been raised for the basket
fund from the money machine and the finale? If we have enough to
pay for the 9th basket, we can have the first drawing for one of the
hot air balloon rides.

Six noble golfers came out today for the second Sunday WFL. The
randon format was drawn by the roll of the dice. When Flick Drive came
up we all knew we where screwed, with lynn standing there smiling from
ear to ear. All told Munns gave it his best shot, but came up short 5
strokes to lynn.
We split into three groups, the round went as follows.
Group 1 --Starting Hole 3
Lynn Baker 53
Jason Munns 58
Jay Williams 67
Group 2 -- Starting Hole 1
Paul Wojick 61
Jeff Ross 65
Gerald Ford 68
THE NORTH WON THE BATTLE! Who would have thunk? AND, our own Home
Grown Phil Denhardt captured the 2007 USDGC PA State flag with his
SHARP SHOOTER (My guess would be that trusted CE-Aviar of his) Good
shootin Phil! Wow, what a day to remember. The First Annual "Blue
Gray Battle at Codorus". I want to thank all the hands of help and
the nods of approval for this event. It was truly a Codorus Classic.
I would list all of you by name but sure as heck I would leave
someone out and feel terrible about it (And besides that's just not
my style!). So... to all the Bob's and Bobbett's of Codorus I thank
you, wrap a Big Long Warm Hug around you... and maybe a little kiss
or two for the Bobbet/s [:D] . YOU truly make me proud to be
involved with Disc Golf. Thanks again...Hobo Bob
PS...General Wojcik and Troops of BWCC,
Thank you for coming out and supporting our last several events
Paul. I would like to have seen more of you Boulder Woods folks
attend. If there is anything I can do to improve relations between
our groups please let me know and I will try to help make amends. I
admire and respect the Club atmosphere of BWCC and I think you guys
are doing some positive things. I personally choose not to get
involved as a member but that does not mean we cannot help each
other be respectfully supportive and make positive efforts for the
growth of Disc Golf and help our communities in the name of Disc
Golf. We recently for example donated through Ken Lemkelde $150 for
inner chains to be mounted on Boulder Woods baskets by end of July
2006. Unfortunately, I was told that never happened. We also have
donated discs and shirts to Iron Man nearly every year. We never
even got a mention of support (in the message section) on the BW
site for our latest event or anything we have tried to do for BW.
Although… I did appreciate it being on the BWCC home page schedule.
I personally sent a SPECIAL NOTICE of support to every member of our
website group for Boulder Woods last event. I'm not sure what the
continued animosity (Seemingly – Maybe just My perception!) is all
about but I would really like it to stop and will continue to try
and make some positive efforts for BWCC as time goes by if I can.
Life is too short to waste on the negative. Good discin to you all.
Respectfully,
Candyman

Enjoy yourself in Jamacia monn.....
As a FYI for those who will not be traveling, Creekside will still be
hosting a GLOW round Wednesday night starting at 5:30. For those who
hold Crawdad tags, it it our regularly scheduled round. Although the
creek is quite high now, a couple feet from coming up over the bank,
there is no rain in the forecast from now till the end of the week
and Wednesday itself is supposed to be pretty nice...... at least
according to the forecast I just seen.

Going to Jamaica, check out the "Luminous Lagoon" at night. There
are only 4 sites like this in the world. It's a cool place.
Everything that moves in the water glows, including people. This is
caused by micro-organisms that create this natural phenomena, known
as bioluminescence when ever they are disturbed. Jamaica's culture
is awesome! Appleton Rum.....goooood.....

Wow. The fun bar was set pretty high for the first ever Thursday WFL
match.
Four idiots, I mean golfers, showed up to play yesterday in the
pouring rain. The randomly selected format was "One Disc". After 4
holes of hurricane-like weather, Bob, Jeff R. and myself were tied at
+5 while Paul was +6. Suddenly the sun peeked through the clouds, the
sky turned ice-blue and the temperature shot up to 70 degrees. It was
some of the strangest weather Ive ever played in. I ended up winning
the match and now own a commanding lead in the WFL with 4 points.
Down to the Lake we went and our mission was clear... Get in the
Molson Money Machine and bring back some CASH for the BWCC!
Things weren't looking good. The Money Machine was scheduled to begin
at 8:00pm, yet at 7:45 there was still no sign of it and people were
beginning to have their doubts. Paul and Bob gave up and headed home,
but luckily for the BWCC, Jeff, G, and myself decided to wait it out.
Suddenly, at 7:55 the doors flew open and in walked two scantily clad
Molson Girls. HAWT! As luck would have it, the Molson Money Machine
was going to be right where we were sitting! We immediately put our
plan in motion. I offered my assitance with setting up the Money
Machine while G and Jeff went to work chatting up the hotties. The
hotties were helpless against the llama charm and by the time the
contest started we had a pile of at least 15 tickets in front of us!
G stuck around for a while, but not long enough. By the time the
night was over, we had won 4 entries into the Money Machine.
Unfortunately, you were only allowed to go in once. After Jeff and I
each used a turn we were forced to enlist others to help with the
cause. Things got pretty blurry towards the end of the night, so Im
not exactly sure how much cash we scored, but Im pretty sure it was
somewhere between "fistfulls" and "boatloads". Good times.
FYI... there will be no WFL match next Thursday (Thanksgiving Day)
and there will be no web updates next week as Ill be in Jamaica. Yah
Mon!
I plan on attending the lime bluff (hughesville PA on 01-14) ice
bowl. It is about a 2 hour commute, but there is a tavern, a
mcdonald's, subway and a Munns household with warm grubb, pool table
and cold beer all within 15 minutes or so of the course. If any
Llams care to join me, please let me know within 12 hours of start
time!

I must attend the WFL. It is barely sprinkling. The sun is coming
out. And Beam called and twisted my arm. The sun is shining even
brighter now. Maybe Thursdays will be the driest day of the week for
a while. :)
That's funny, I worked in it most of the day and it was cold to me.
I'm gonna skip the WFL today, but I plan on attending the great
spectacle down at the Lake. Cu there around 5:30.
The rain is warm, must be a tropical front

Do you guys have a date set for your Ice Bowl yet? Looking to add to
our list of events on our disc golf site at www.bearclaws.org.
The Hickory Run Ice Bowi is going to be Saturday, February 10. I know
Tyler's is Saturday, January 6, Lime Bluff (new course by Larry Entz in
Hughesville) is Sunday, January 14, and Rutgers NJ is Sunday, January
28.
South Mt. Ice Bowl at Lehigh is doing some type of Friday-Saturday
event January 26-27.
Any info woul dbe appreciated.
