Start time for TNF is 5:30pm. Typically its listed on the main page,
but the flyer for Llamapalooza has taken priority for this week
since the tournament is next weekend.

The new course is looking AWESOME. I got a chance to take a look
yesterday afternoon. Great progress is being made. I managed a 3 on
hole#2 and was VERY happy with it.

Your best bet is to bring everything that you need with you. The
courses are in West Virginia boondocks.

If you must restock your supplies, Berkley Springs is 30 minutes
away where you can get more ice, food, booze, cigs, ibuprofen, etc.

Bring everything you would need for camping at a site with no
facilities.

             -solar shower
             - large cooler of ice
             - plenty of water and beverages
             - food for 2-3 days
             -Lantern
             -flashlights
-earplugs (band usually plays til 2 am)

There will be portajohns onsite for your waste elimination
pleasure.

Bring some old discs you don't mind losing. There is a scenic
overlook accross from the Panorama steakhouse just outside Berkeley
Springs that's a blast to toss discs off.

Along route 177 between the Quaker Race entrance to the park and
the Park Office itself there exists a large GREEN water tower. Pull
up the entrance (gravel) road gingerly and look for vehicles. There
is a basket that can be sen from the road and there should be a
couple cars there by 10 or 11 am. I plan on making it out by 10 at
the latest. If no one is nearby and you can't make out where the
sounds of power equipment are coming from, simply honk your horn a
few times and someone will be out shortly to escort you around.
Otherwise, head for the sound of equipment or follow the scent of
SWEAT.
There are plenty of menial tasks that need doing and none of us
are above them. There is also plenty of R&D that needs done.
It is truly amazing what can be accomplished when we enjoy a
good-sized party of volunteers that aren't skeered of getting their
hands dirty.
Don't forget your discs, there are baskets in place and fairways
that are totally playable (at appropriate break-time intervals). :)

I'd once again remind any volunteers to bring their own work
gloves, fluids, and any hand tools that you fancy. There is plenty
of DEET in stock already plus a VERY comprehensive First Aid kit.

There will most likely be a lunchtime break for the morning
shift for those of you wishing to plan your itinerary (12-1?) around
the LULL. ;)

There are three exits that can be used: from Lewisberry Rd (rt.114)
which takes you into the 4way flashing light in Lewisberry, to (the
quickest from the North) exit 35 to Lewisberry, right through stop to
light, left at light onto Wyndamere Rd. (rt.177) taking you also to
the flashing lights, and if you happen to miss those two or are coming
from the south, get off at the Newberrytown exit (rt.382) and head
west to flashing lights.

I believe John is trying to bring you from rt. 382 (Newberry exit 32). But why drive 2 extra exits? The intersection of 382 & 177 has a 4 way stop signs and a blinking light.

I believe that it is quicker if you take exit 32 (someone may need to
correct me if this is the wrong number), take a right off the exit and
a left at the stop sign, then pick up Jeff's directions you will be on
177. Also I think they changed the blinking red light, it is now a 4
way stop sign.

For my fellow Llamas who have not yet registered with the Creekside Crawdads, check out the tag art. I am hoping to have the actual tags late this week, early next week but definitely before the glow event. Tags cost will be the same as the Llamas, $15 and hopefully some of the more experienced tag masters will be able to help me make sure I do things right........

Craig,
My work schedule varies day-to-day (Mother Nature plays havoc with me being a tower climber) and I can't guarantee when I could be on the course. If I happen to get off early (usually @ 2-230), I am on the course, tue/thur I have evening classes at HACC. Give me a jingle @ 717 554 0795 if you happen to be around during then. As the designer of Creekside, please direct all compliments and kudos to me--all complaints can be directed at Matt. I might also make it out for Monday, 31 July @ 2ishb ut as previously stated Ma Nature controls my destiny.

Peace out,
-Jeff

Hey Matt,

Do you play, or are you around, during the day? Im going to try to
check out the course next week. My new work schedule has me on the
road on Mondays and Wednesdays and I plan on squeezing in a round or
two each day (probably early afternoon). Let me know if you, or
anyone else, is available to play.

Craig

Erford Road?? Well then, you need to come check out Creekside. My
buddy Jeff and I (Jeff doing most) just put in a 9 hole course right
down the road, the other 9 holes will be coming soon. We are
literally just down the road, coming down Erford you would go past
the elementary school and go down to the first Stop sign and make a
left and there is our park and course. I also check out the message
board everyday and my cell # is 943-5367, I am on the course pretty
much every day, give me a shout or post something and I'll meet you
for a round and give you the tour.

Craig,
Just let me know the day before you plan on being out there to play
and I will be there. The good thing about being the boss is I can
pretty much leave work when ever I want / need to as long as I have
no meetings, customer visits, etc......
Look forward to it.....
Peace
M

I'll see you Thursday, weather permitting. Hopefully, we will have
time to visit the new course location and and show you its progress.
