The New Disc Golf Monthly will begin airing on Local Programming
channels, Access Channels and be available for viewing On Demand
beginning the first week of July.

This Months show features coverage of the 2006 PA State Championships
at Codorus State Park in Hanover, Pennsylvania. The PA resident
contestant in this competition who wins the event receives an
invitation to the 2006 USGDC.

Joining Disc Golf Monthly this month is guest host Joe Bisicchia, who
comes to us courtesy of Comcast Newsmakers and CN8 The Comcast

The round one recap highlights the competition highlighting how
everyone finished, while giving special attention to Linc Morgan who
engaged in a conversation with his disc named Luke (skywalker) in an
effort to get a nice up. To see if he did it, watch the show.

Following a short break, the show returns with coverage of the Mens
Pro Division following lead group participants Mike Moser, Bob
Hoffman, Justin Madore, and Nick Schneider. The action picks up on X
hole number 4 and continues for the remaining 8 holes.

Disc Golf Monthly consistently receives over 1,000 viewers a month

Sounds good Beam. All help is greatly appreciated. I will be working
as I said before, on holes 3-6 and hoping that we get a good turnout
to put the finishing touches on holes 2,8,9 and 10.
The offending tree has been sectioned into (4) - 12 foot lengths,
good for four tee benches. The smallest section (top of trunk) is
still 16" in diameter, while the base of the trunk is almost twice
that.
I also measured hole #7 yesterday with a 100' tape. The short pin
is going to be somewhere between 450' to 475', while the long pin (par
4) is weighing in at 675'. :) The front nine is shaping up to be the
longer of the two halves. It should come in just shy of the total
distance of the Rec course, somewhere around 4,200 ft. for the long
pins. :)

If anyone who is NOT ALLERGIC to Poison Ivy, Oak or Sumac can make it
out at anytime, there are some "special" projects awaiting your
genetically enhanced dermis. ;)

B.W.C.C. Llama shirt orders are still being taken. We have a good
order accumulating by club members so far. I thank all who have
placed their order.
Anyone else that is pondering the great idea of ordering llama
shirts for themselves, family members, friends, gifts, and/or prize
giveaways, should place their order soon.
The last day I'll be taking orders will be this coming Sunday, July
2nd so I can place the order on Monday, July 3rd. I should be at the
course Tuesday evening and Sunday morning, plus you can contact me
as discussed in the previous message. (as seen below) Don't be shy.
Give me a call.
Thank you for your support and proudly identifying yourself with

Well...... the entire park (hence, the entire course) is now uder
water. For those of you familiar with the course, all Jeff has to do
now is take 2 steps out of his back yard and he will be standing in
the creek. I'm going to go back down in a little while with the
camera, I post a couple pictures.... it's a sad sight for golfers, but
in the same sentence, it is awesome to see.
Peace

I'll be glad to see Trevor finally on the stats board. Sorry I
missed playing a tag round with you, Mr Kelly. Catch you next time.

Since the Yellow Breeches Creek is over its banks, I've been working
20-hour days. Customers in the drinking water systems I'm in charge
of can still drink their water without boiling it. That's a GOOD
thing! :) Sleep is out of the question for most of this week.
Should make it to tags Sunday.

If you haven't seen it yet, the mighty creek has left its banks and
has made its way on to the course. Currently holes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
are completely under water, with holes 6, 7, 8 and 9 not far behind.
After reading about the awful occurrence at Pinchot with #1 basket,
Jeff had the foresight and he and I went and pulled baskets 1, 2, 3, 4
and 5 last night at about 9:30 (in the terenchial down pour I might
add) but not for fear of falling trees or washing away, but for fear
of floating trees, furniture, and what ever other debris the creek
collects slamming in to the baskets from the heavy current.

Only the third time in as many years that we got wet during a round of
Tuesday Tags. It was dry until about the ninth hole. Thne the discs
began to slip. No aces were recorded and the pot grew from $65 to
$67. Here are the scores:

Trevor Kelly #27 71 #27
Eric Brennan #23 64 #24
Gerry Ford #24 63 #23
Paul Wojcik #2 56 #2

Thanks to Eric Brennan for volunteering an hour of time to help clear
the trail down from the water tower and to try and remove the damaged
basket #1. I would really like to see some volunteers out this

OK Boys and Girls…More Cod Love:
In addition to the discounted entry fees, Indoor creature comforts
at the Codorus Hilton overlooking the Lake, the Disc of choice
player package for all AMs including Champion & Star plates or you
can have a shirt or hat or whatever you can barter for from the
Candyman, the additional 85 foot shot for a $100 Ace-Pot, four CTPS
for disc of choice including one just for the gals, A $1 chance at a
Innova Traveler Basket, we are adding for the Pros Innova's new
Driver Mini if they get here on time or a Full Color Codorus Moon
Mini take your pick. And I also hear rumor of possible live
entertainment between rounds. Will it be worth the drive? I think
so. If none of this interests you, just come to have one of the best
disc golf experiences on the planet in one beautiful place. Play a
round of Mini afterward if 54 aren't enough for you. Heck, stay and
play the Pro tees if you dare. Thanks again to all you folks who
have helped us out over the years. Hope to see some of you there.
Love,
Candyman
PS. If someou Llamas want to bring a grill or find one near the Cod-
Hilton and flip some burgers to help your cause I will be as close
to first in line as possible and we can let folks know your cooking.
Just let me know. Sell your Llama Sponsor discs or shirts or
whatever, no problem. I can still smell those BeamBurgers!

The hit was pretty severe, probably almost directly on top of the
pole. As Eric said, the top may be able to be repaired.... hopefully
Kuduk will be out tomorrow night and I can get the thing out of the
sleeve before tags so he could assess the possibilities. I think he
can pull it off, but it will need powdercoated again after re-welding.
The basket seems ok except for the fact that it's practically
sitting on the ground. The force was enough to sever the bolts
holding the pole in the sleeve and drive the pole down into the bottom
of the sleeve and concrete/rock bottom.
I suspect that a glancing blow would have bent the pole, and since
it is not bent and the basket is okay, that the tree struck almost
right on top and then bounced off the top of the pole when the pole
hit bottom. It will take some work to remove the core sample taken
from the trunk that's left in the top of the pole.
I cleared the fallen tree on #7 and worked on the tee area a bit. I
was just getting started on the fallen trees blocking the trail down
from the water tower, when the curtain of rain hit.
On the sunny side, I know of a perfect bench-sized tree that happens
to be down, blocking the Quaker Race Trail, and near the #2 teepad. :)

Anyone able to make it out early and maybe wishes to lend a hand
clearing the trail and trying to remove the #1 basket can meet me near
the water tower from 3:45 - 5:00. :)

I want to personally thank you all from the Pinchot area who trekked to
the Pocono's for the 1st Annual Summer 'Solt'stice. Being that this
was my first tournament I've ever headed up, I want thank you for the
words of encouragement I heard from you all throughout the day. Being
able to see new faces and friends at the course was a great feeling. I
look forward to coming to your August 5th Tournament as well. I also
need to recognize my fellow bearclaws as well...without their help, the
tournament wouldn't have been such a success. Thank you all once
again.

Mike
