By combining many of the best aspects of modern sport fencing with the martial arts traditions of Western European Swordplay, The Rapier and Smallsword Practice Group (Boulder) enables the aspiring swashbuckler to experience the fun, drama and excitement of Historical Swordplay in a safe, relaxed and supportive environment. RSPG strongly supports the study and use of historical techniques; however, our approach is very “hands on”. By working with a variety of weapons, including period style rapiers and smallswords (or reasonable facsimiles thereof), we constantly strive to rediscover the rich heritage of traditions and techniques of European Swordsmanship. Please come and join us (mostly) weekly (PLEASE Check the calendar for a listing of Practice times and dates...holidays and other bookings may cause some practices to be moved or cancelled) at the NCF (Northern Colorado Fencing) building (1949 33rd St., Boulder, CO) to try your hand at the fun and exhilarating art of Historical Swordplay.
