The First Shift: Well, the "title defense" hasn't gone as planned has it? BU is falling out of the national picture at a dizzying pace and is currently unranked. The championship hangover just won't clear and we're left to wonder when the fog will finally lift. But let's stay positive as the new kids get acclimated to the college game and we get some of our big guns back from early injuries. There's a long way to go and plenty of time to turn things around.

Last Game (11/14): BU 6 - Merrimack 4 -- This was a nice rebound to Friday's loss up at Merrimack's place BUT, we're now faced with having to be happy with a split against upgraded teams like the Warriors. Not what we had in mind.

Next Game (11/20): BU at UNH -- A home and home series with the talented Wildcats will give us a really good idea as to whether this team can hang with the better teams in Hockey East. Click here for the full schedule.

'09-10 Season: BU is 3-6-0 overall (20 GF, 24 GA) and 2-5-0 (4 points / 8th place) in Hockey East . BU has fallen out of the Top 15 and is in the dreaded "others receiving votes" category. We've still got 1 vote!!
