Hi everyone,
I am still waiting to hear from Paulie the exact hours that he needs us
on the 28th, but please confirm who can be there. We promised him 5 to
6 women per race and it seems like we have far fewer than that. This
would be a serious problem. I know that Allison and Julia were not on
the team when we made the decision and that Alex had mentioned her
brother's graduation, but it seemed that we agreed as a team to go ahead
with this. I will be in touch with Katrina to see if she can do it, but
I think that some people may need to find people who can fill in for them.
Thanks,
Kelli

Local shoe giant New Balance is looking for runners to help them test out new shoes. See below for info and feel free to pass on to your male running friends!
-Annie
The recently completed New Balance Sports Research Lab in Lawrence, MA is looking for runners! Check out a short segment done on our lab by WBZTV ( http://wbztv.com/bostonmarathon/boston. ... 84934.html). We are constantly doing research and product testing related to running, but in order to do this research and testing we need athletes! A typical trip would involve about an hour in our Sports Research Lab with our trained experts using our state of the art equipment. As compensation, we will let you keep a pair of awesome New Balance running shoes. We are especially interested in men who are size 9.5 because this is the size we create prototype shoes in. We are also very interested in women who are a size 7. If you are not that size, don't worry because we often do other studies and testing where we are looking for other sizes. If you would like to help us out, see a research lab unlike any other, and get a new pair of the finest running shoes around , email us!
Just send us a quick email with your name and contact information to sportsresearch@.... Also include your age, shoe size and activity level! That's it! We look forward to hearing from you!
Anyone interested in training for this October run? Let me know, it would be my
first, so I'm just looking for a buddy especially for the long ones. Also, any
experience would benefit me! So, respond if you're interested or email me:
JLedewitz(at)gmail.com.
-Julia
Sounds like a great run! Thanks for posting about it, Linda!
Ladies, please feel free to post info on upcoming races and events. We
hope this board can help serve as resource for folks who are looking for
and folks who are hosting races.
Best,
Kelli

I'm already planning on running it. I ran this race two years ago, and it is still one my favorites - the town really came out to cheer, and to cook! I'm hoping it's as good this year.

many of you there! For more info, check out

Thanks to all who made it out to Wednesday's run on the Charles. We Just wanted to remind everyone that the Luna Chix Run Team will NOT be meeting up for a run this Wednesday because of LUNAFEST!
Lunafest is a great night of films with all proceeds benefiting the Breast Cancer Fund and the EllieFund. For more info, check out www.tinyurl.com/lunafest2009. Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tonight at 6:30 for our

Hi ladies,
As a reminder, our first WEDNESDAY NIGHT RUN of the
season will be TOMORROW, April 8. We will be meeting by the Mass Ave Bridge on
the Cambridge side of the river at 6:30pm. All levels are welcome! For more
information and a map, please check out our website - www.bostonlunachix. com.
It looks like tomorrow will be beautiful and sunny, but just in case, our rain
policy is that thunderstorms cancel the run, otherwise, we'll be there! We will
email a notice to this list by 4:30pm if the run is cancelled.
We will be taking a break from the weekly runs on April 15 for a great event for
two great charities. LUNAFEST is an annual film festival with films by, for and
about women. This year we will be watching these
films in style at the Hard Rock Cafe. Tickets include a pre-screening reception
with drinks and appetizers. The event will also include a silent auction and
raffle to benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and the EllieFund. For more information

Hello running friends,
Please mark your calendars and save the date- April 15th is not only

Hi Linda,
I'm running Covered Bridges as well, it will be my 2nd half marathon.
It should be a lot of fun, I've heard a lot of great things about it.
I'd be interested in running a race with you beforehand to prepare.
Let me know if you want some company! I'm having a hard time
motivating myself to run outside in this weather!

Hi all, As we often hand out samples of Clif and Luna products at our events and we know many of you are very fond of Clif/Luna products, we feel it is important to pass along this safety information to you. See below for a full explanation, list of products affected, and contact information to learn more about the recall.
-Annie Boston LunaChix
As many of you may have already heard, the FDA is investigating a Salmonella outbreak tied to peanut butter from the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA). PCA is a manufacturer and supplier of peanut butter for many food companies and manufacturers. For a limited time in 2008, Clif used PCA peanut butter in some of our products.
In light of this investigation, and with an abundance of caution, Clif Bar & Company has enacted a voluntary recall of 14 of thier products, containing peanut butter in the U.S. and Canada (please see the complete list
below).
Clif is taking these steps because, as a food company, consumer safety is our top priority. As part of our journey to do better every day, we feel strongly that issuing a voluntary recall is the right thing to do.
PCA, not Clif Bar & Company, is the focus of an investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concerning the Salmonella outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter. We urge everyone to destroy any of our recalled products to ensure no one mistakenly eats them.
To check if products you have are part of our voluntary recall, please see below for a list of our recalled items containing peanut butter. If the product you have on hand is any of the products listed AND has a best by/sell by date that matches that on the list, we urge you to destroy it and any of our recalled products to ensure no one mistakenly eats them.
Please know that no other
Clif Bar & Company products or flavors are included in this recall. As you know, we have many other products, and you can safely enjoy our other peanut butter and non-peanut butter products safely that are not on the recall list.
Additional details can be found at www.clifbar. com. If you have any further questions, you may contact Clif Bar & Company at 1-800- CLIFBAR (1-800-254-3227) .
