afternoons beginning September 10th.

opportunity to explore their innate sense of rhythm in a
non-performance setting. Students will learn authentic rhythms from
West Africa and the Caribbean.
Drumming in groups can boost the immune system, according to a study
published in the journal ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES. To read more about
the study and to register visit www.CreateYourAdventures.com and start
drumming to a more vibrant you!
Hi ladies,
I just signed up for Healthworks Brookline! They have
a nice promo going with no initiation fees, and July
and August are free with a 12-month commitment. So,
now I'm hoping to get some perks from their member
referral program. If anyone wants to join within the
next month, let me know. We can both get $5 or $10 off
monthly rates, depending on the location you join.
Happy workouts!

Hi Ladies!
This is great to see. I work part time at the Healthworks in
Cambridge. I wish I could give you guys some kind of deal but I can't.
However, keep searching for your perks!
Have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone,
Due to the severe weather warning that is in effect until later this
evening, the Luna Chix have decided to cancel tonight's weekly run
down by the Charles. We're sorry to have to do so, but with the
unpredictable weather we'd like to err on the side of safety - running
individually closer to home may be a better option for today!
We look forward to seeing you at next week's run! Have a great
holiday weekend.
Best,
Kelli
On Monday , July 21st actor and Artistic Director Lyralen Kaye, brings her
New York Meisner training to Boston in this one evening workshop that provides
an
introduction to Meisner theory as well as hands-on practice in the famous
repetition
exercise.
Introduction to the Meisner Technique
Taught by: Lyralen Kaye
Monday, July 21st 6:30 - 9:30
1 workshop of 3 hours: $60.00
Open to ages sixteen - adults
Held at Creative Adventures 599 High Street Dedham Square
Workshop is limited to 12 participants
The Meisner approach, centered on the famous repetition exercise, teaches actors
how to"live truthfully under imaginary circumstances." Both rigorous and
profoundly
simple, it is a technique designed to help actors discover new levels of
authenticity and
true
emotion. Taught widely in New York and L.A., it is a necessity in film work and
in truly
connected theater.

As you might know, we are having a clinic tonight at the same time as the usual Wednesday night run. Though none of the Luna Chix will be able to attend the run tonight, we do encourage you all to meet up and run without us (just for tonight). Meet someone new, make some friends, enjoy the weather.
Unfortunately, there is not a place to leave your things during the run. Some people leave their stuff at work and go back after the run, others stop home, and some drive down to the river and leave their things in their car. Hope one of these options works for you.

I will count you in. We'll make it work somehow. :) You should hear from me again in the next week or so. Checks should be made out to the Breast Cancer Fund.
The Boston run team will be hosting a Chi Running Clinic which is aimed at teaching you how to effectively use your core during running. Hopefully this clinic will help you run with greater ease and keep you injury free (check out chirunning.com for more on what Chi Running is all about).
The clinic will take place at 6:30 on 6/25 at Danahey Park in Cambridge and last approximately two hours. We will be bringing in a certified Chi Running instructor for this event, which means that we need a fairly firm commitment for all attendees.
We are asking that clinic attendees make a voluntary contribution to our charity the Breast Cancer Fund, which is a non-profit organization that works to identify and eliminate the environmental causes of the disease.
We'll bring Luna Sport products and other goodies, you bring yourselves!
Please e-mail me at amlee2ma@yahoo. com if you have any questions or would like to attend. Hope to see you at the Wednesday Night Runs and/or the clinic.
Sorry for that last mass e-mail reply. I didn't check the reply-to address (again!). Very sorry about.
I also wanted to let you all know that our clinic looks full as of right now and we're going to have to cap it where it is. If you haven't heard from me directly confirming that I got your original e-mail then I most likely do not have you down for attending the clinic. Everyone who has heard from me will be getting another e-mail asking to confirm their attendance.
If you're interested in the clinic and have not as of yet RSVP, you can still e-mail me and I will let you know if anyone decides not to come.
Again, sorry for that last mass
reply.
Best,
Anne

Just wanted to let you know that Deb and I are still going to be coming to the Wednesday night runs. So many things have just been coming up on Wednesdays for work or being sick, etc. We hope to see you all next Wednesday!
I recently volunteered at the National Braille Press, and found out about a really cool event. It's called the Vision 5k. It's a 5k Run & Walk in Boston (Fens area) on June 7th, at 10am. It's $25 (cash/check)
or $28 (credit card) if you register before May 23rd. They also have a kids fun run for $5. The proceeds go to various programs to help the blind. They have a really cool optional challenge where you sign up with a partner and one of you runs the course blindfolded, and the
other is your guide (you are tethered together to prevent injury with a wrist cord). Personally I'd love to try that! Unfortunately I am going to be out of town that weekend, but I thought some of the Chix
might be interested as well. You can register on their website: www.vision5k.org
They sent me a bunch of brochures and stuff to with some information.
Let me know if you want me to send you one (I can scan it and send it as a .pdf file).
Let me know how to get you the money and get the number.
Thanks,
Laurie
