Hi,
I am stuck out in Ptown!
I want to be able to join in on some of the runs and events but it
takes me around 2.5 hours to get there.
Is there anyone out there that would like to meet for runs in my area
or closer to Ptown?
Is there anyone who I could meet part of the way and carpool in?
I am desperate for running partners.
There is not alot going on out in the dunes these days and I have not
found any other woman to run with.
I am also training for the sprint Tri in Hyannis so if there is anyone
who might want to train or has advise or can help me train that would
be great.
I enjoy trail running the most but I also run on pavement too.
I average between a 8 to 9 minute mile.
I have always been a distance type runner vs sprint or speed.
I do mix it up though.
I am a runner and road bike person.
Deb

Hi Anne,

I've been running around 6-8 on the weekends just to keep myself going while the weather is still touch and go...

I live in Cambridge and work in Arlington...so maybe we could do a long Fresh Pond run some point or around the Tufts area? (a little bit of hills is always good for training)...

Let me know!

Thanks,

Emily

Hi Emily,
I am running the Run to Remember with Team in Training, except I have not been to any Saturday training sessions lately as I am usually skiing.
I would love to meet up for some longer runs- I live in Somerville and work in Watertown, but can meet you wherever.

Let me know,

Good Morning All;

I just started running again and average about a 9:40 pace
initially, but when I get back "in shape", I run between 8:45-9:05.
Although my intentions were good, I never got to a Wednesday night
run last summer. I'm always too shy I guess!

I won't be here Memorial Day weekend, but will sign up for a
gazillion other races over the summer (Falmouth is my favorite so
far!) I would LOVE the company of some running buddies so please do
include me in any emails that are organizing group runs - thank you
so much! My email address is josellards@...

Have a super day,
Jolene

Hi Kathryn,
I started running years ago but since moving to Boston 2 years ago, for some reason, my mileage has taken a real dive. I thought I was buying myself more time when I moved to the city but now just stay at work longer. I would love to start a program again so hope to start up aging with the group and try to stick with it. If you're around my area, I would meet and so some runs together. Where do you live?

Hi all,
I had such a good time one Saturday morning running with a few of you and, as I feared, have not kept up my commitment so am going to give it another try. Where do the Wednesday runs start from...and what time is the Saturday run?
Thanks. I'm going to good look up the runs mentioned here and see if I would be able to start training for something in the future. I live in the Fenway area so if any of you are around there, I would love to run a few mornings a week with someone.
Have a great day,

hi Katie! I run about a 10 minute mile too (a little faster sometimes.. but not too much faster than that!) and i'd love a running partner! right now i usually run 3-4 miles but i've been slacking lately. if you'd be interested in pairing up for some runs, let me know! i live in somerville but i'm always open to running in different areas. i like a change of scenery every so often.

Hello!
If anyone is ever up for Thursday morning runs, please give me an
email. I usually run in Cambridge but, I would be open to venture
out. It is too flat here. I have my sights on the Vermont city
marathon which is also Memorial day weekend. Hope to hear from you.

I would LOVE to train with someone. I am fairly new to running; I run about a
10 minute mile, maybe a little faster, really depends on the distance. I'm
trying to get back into shape. I get really frustrated/anxious/not sure what
the word is runnig with new people bc I always want to keep up!!! :( And
consequently quit soonthereafter, but I know I should just stick w.this.

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or desire to run w.me at a similar pace?
Or even at your pace and maybe I can try to keep up for the first part and then
fall behind.

Thanks!
Katie

Hi y'all-

LunaChix will be stuffing the bags runners get at the Hyannis Marathon
and would love to have your help! We'll be doing this Sunday,
February 17 at 1 pm at American Legion Marsh Post #442, 5 Greenough
Boulevard, Eliot Bridge, Cambridge, MA 02138 (where many of the summer
BA Events races begin and end).

It should be a fun afternoon and we'll have Luna treats for those who
come out and give us a hand. Please let me know if you can make it so
that I know how many to expect (kcostell@fas. harvard.edu). Also, let
me know if you have questions.

We'll have some folks running Hyannis as well, and may have an extra
relay spot.

Thanks in advance!

On Monday , March 31st actor and Artistic Director Lyralen Kaye, brings her

introduction to
Meisner theory as well as hands-on practice in the famous repetition exercise.

The Meisner approach, centered on the famous repetition exercise, teaches actors
how to
"live truthfully under imaginary circumstances." Both rigorous and profoundly
simple, it is a
technique designed to help actors discover new levels of authenticity and true

Taught widely in New York and L.A., it is a necessity in film work and in truly

Hello ladies!

We've had a few people step down from spots on the relay teams, due to
injury. We are looking for a few more people who would like to run
either a 5mile or 7 mile leg of the Hyanis Marathon Relay on sunday
February 24th. We are also looking for people to help us stuff goodit
bags for the event. We will be stuffing bags on Sunday February 17th.

The Luna Chix are one of the sponsors of this year's Hyannis Marathon,
Half Marathon and Relay on February 24, 2008:
http://www.hyannismarathon.net/

We have arranged for reduced entry fees in exchange for our stuffing
the t-shirt/number bags the week before (Sunday, Feb. 17). We'll have
Luna treats on hand for those stuffing t-shirt bags, and given our
good-natured group of Luna Chix I am sure we will make the afternoon
fun.

If you are interested in running as part of a relay team and/or can
participate in the bag-stuffing fun, please send me your contact info
to kcostell@.... (Please do not reply to this post with
personal contact info, I'd prefer to receive it via email.)

Of course, let me know if you have questions! And feel free to extend
this invitation to your friends. :-)

Thank you so much. Happy winter running.

Dear Business Owner:

Emma's Hope for a Cure is an organization that is raising funds to find a
cure for FSGS; Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. FSGS is a rare kidney dis-
ease that destroys kidney function by attacking the glomeruli, the tiny units
within the kidney where blood is cleaned. This Fund has been established to
honor Emma Raftery, a courageous 4 year old little girl who is fighting
this awful
disease.
FSGS is a rare, progressive, and poorly understood disease. Given that
only 35-75,000 people, mostly children, are affected, research is severely
limited
and underfunded. The only treatment offered is a life filled with
Immunosuppres-
sive drugs, including chemotherapy. There is no known cure. Emma and children
like her deserve more than that, and YOU can help.
In Honor of Emma, Danny Ryan is running the Boston Marathon to raise
awareness and much needed funds for research to help find a cure for this
dis-
ease which causes kidney failure.
Emma's Hope For A Cure will hold it's first fundraiser on Saturday,
April
12th at Moseley's on the Charles in Dedham from 7pm-Midnight. Everyone is en-
couraged to attend to help us raise money to find a cure for FSGS , to
wish
Danny luck as he prepares to run the marathon, and honor Emma, our brave little
daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

Attached you will find information on many opportunities to contribute

Hello everyone,

I am writing to invite you to our second running brunch of the winter, which will take place on Sunday, January 27th at 11am.

We will meet at my place in Mission Hill, which is a short walk from the Mission Park and Heath Street stops on the Green E line. It also is within walking distance from the Brookline Village stop on the Green D line. There also is some on-street parking available. From there we can run to Jamaica Pond (and also to the Arboretum, for those who want a longer run). After the run, we get to come back to my place and eat lots of yummy food!

Please feel free to bring a friend, as well as a breakfast treat for everyone to share. Email Michelle at m_maiese@comcast.net for directions. (I check this more often than my Yahoo account.)

Looking forward to it,

Hello ladies!

We've still got some spots on the Luna Chix relay teams for the
Hyannis Half Marathon and Relay on February 24, 2008:
http://www.hyannismarathon.net/

I participated last year as part of a 4-person relay team and it was
a lot of fun! We have arranged for reduced entry fees in exchange for
our stuffing the t-shirt/number bags the week before (Sunday, Feb.
17). We'll have Luna treats on hand for those stuffing t-shirt bags,
and given our good-natured group of Luna Chix I am sure we will make
the afternoon fun.

If you are interested in running as part of a relay team and/or can
participate in the bag-stuffing fun, please send me your contact info
to kcostell@.... (Please do not reply to this post with
personal contact info, I'd prefer to receive it via email.)

Of course, let me know if you have questions! And feel free to
extend this invitation to your friends. :-)

Best,
Kelli
