Thanks to all for the interest, we however did not have enough numbers to host the class.

We hope to reschedule at some point soon.

Have a great weekend.

Just in case - hear are the directions for people driving and people taking the T....

On the corner of Stuart Street & Dartmouth Street. Across from Copley Square.

From Route 93…
Take Storrow Drive exit. Follow signs to the Copley/Back Bay Exit. Take the left side exit. At the lights, take a right onto Beacon Street. Take a left on Exeter Street (4 streets up). Take a left at the end of Exeter Street onto Stuart Street. (There will be 2 streets intersecting from the left. Take the left around them.) Go straight through the next set of lights. Healthworks will be on the left

From Mass Pike…
Follow signs to Boston. Take Copley/Prudential Exit. Stay in the right lane for Copley. Go straight through the lights, cross Dartmouth Street and you will be on Stuart Street. The entrance to Healthworks is on the left.

From the Green Line…
Get off at the Copley stop and exit onto the street. You will be on the corner of Dartmouth and Boylston. Head towards Copley Square and the Copley/Fairmount Hotel. Take a right on Stuart Street (Starbucks is on the corner). The entrance to Healthworks is 5 doors down on the right.

From the Orange Line…
Get off at Back Bay Station and exit onto Dartmouth Street (do not go under the bridge). Take a right out of the station. Cross the next street (Stuart Street) and take a left when you are on the other side of the street. (Starbucks is on the corner). The entrance to Healthworks is 5 doors down on the left.

Geraldine - I would love to run this evening. Do you want to meet at 6.30pm? I would be up for 3 or 4 miles. Give me five minutes on the other side of 6.30 incase I am running late from work the Red Sox are on and it will be a night-mare with the T out of the city.

Also, check out the new forum - there is a new section where you can post looking for Running Buddies.

WIth regard regular runs I can typically do Mondays and Fridays mornings.. then meeting the group Wednesday nights...

Yes a few people reported problems with receiving the yahoo messages this week.

We are transitioning to a new message board, it would be a good time for people to sign up for accounts at the new board and start posting there......

      Hi Ladies,
I had a great time running with all of you last night and it was
exciting to see so many Luna Chix out there on the river together.

From my back-of-the-pack view last night I got to see all of the
inquisitive looks on peoples faces as they watched a pack of 17 women
run by chatting up a storm and having a blast!

Hopefully we'll have even more ladies joining in our fun in the weeks
      ahead.

Also, thank you all for your supportive words and thoughts for big
day on Monday running with you all and talking about it last night
just got me even more excited!

So if you're out on the course cheering or just following along from
your computer. I'm #22383 and I'll be wearing a royal blue tank and
red shorts. To track me online, the day of the race go to
http://www.bostonmarathon.org and enter my race number 22383.

I'm in the 12:30 wave start and anticipate running a 4:45 marathon so
I will be crossing the finish line between 5:00 and 5:30.

      Hi, Chix....

I REALLY wish I could come tonight...I have a ton to do at work today
(I took off yesterday because I went to Opening Day)...so I think
it's going to be a last minute decision as to whether or not I can
make it--depending on if I get out of here on time or not. If I
can't make it, run safe and enjoy the beautiful weather!!!

      Janie

      hi alex,

welcome to the group. we have runners who run with us who have been running since high school and others who have just taken it up recently.  it sounds like you have been making good progress and definately running with a group, helps motivates and also is alot of fun.

our weekly runs on a wednesday are great fun, you get to met and chat with some many people from all over the US and even aboard.

we look forward to meeting you next week at our weekly run. some of us like to take part in some local road races, there is one coming up on Sunday 23 April, it is a 5K and I think that this is the best place for new runners to start. you get a great sense of accomplishment and also the atmosphere with hundreds of people all lined up is great. the great thing about these events is not matter when you cross the finish line, the chances are that that specific time is your personal best, so you really walk away encouraged.

I myself will be taking part in this event. if you think you are ready sign up, i would be happy to meet up with you. I am doing this with two co-workers who are really non-runners they did a 5k last month with me and loved it.

Hello - I just wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the group. My
name is Alex and I am a 28 year old social worker in Boston. I started
running last year and love it and try to get out at least three times a
week. I am very excited to run with you all as I have heard that
running in a group is a great way of improving speed and endurance. I
look forward to joining you for you're weekly run on the 19th.
