I've not responded to the group because for some reason Comcast
does not always send my e-mails in a timely manner.
this morning, SUDDENLY, 275 emails filled my inbox!!!!(:
I've been going thru, seeing what might be important.
Happy to see that Wayne of Red Air has joined our group. He is in
So.Africa. I tested his rangs about 2 years ago, but at that time,
could not invest in an order.
He does excellent work, needless to say.
I am stocking his rangs. Anyone interested can visit my website.
this will contain several subjects(I still have too many emails to
sift thru(:
.....
As simple as the Darnell Tri Fly is, it is amazing how many throwers
can't figure out the tuning. I think it's because the instructions
show how to tune all wings, and throwers adjust all the wings at the
same time.
Eric's best tip: T , D, & P
Mark one wing T, another D and the 3rd wing P.
always hold the T wing.
Apply Dihedral to D.
once you get the rang working , play around with:
P ,that's pitch or twist.
And don't throw so darn hard:)
If you have a P.E.T version, put in a pan of water, place a stack of
coins under each wing tip, and a weight at the center... bring to a
boil. let cool. this helps set the dihedral.
....
Peter Ruhf's Super V on eBay... old timers on this list probably
remember when I sold his rangs....Super V, F-rang Omega, Maple Seed
Pod, Cosimo 7 Omega,Saturn Rockes Omega. And let's not forget his
plastic omega...dems was da days:)
for you younger blokes...those were listed in my 1983 catalog.
