I tried searching the site but didn't get many hits... If you have a
link, I'd like to check it out.

I was especially interested in the reasoning people chose their arm.
I only have high school physics, but some sites talked about the lead
arm cutting through the air and the dingle receiving the
turbulence... but with the forward rolling motion, I can't imagine
the dingle traveling through the same air.

I am also curious if, given the same throwing motion, if the
increased spin is real or if it is simply perceived because of the
different weight distribution.

Boomerangs are so cool... I like trying to wrap my head around what's
going on...

Depending on the size.  The larger the boomerang, the harder it is to throw properly from the lead-arm.  It is much easier to reduce the wobble if you "pull"...

Hi Vinny,  It can go both ways. For the most part, I myself like to throw by Lead Arm, but there's many a boom out there that flys better by a Dingle Arm...

I depends entirely on the shape of the boomerang...vees and omegas, I generally throw via dingle; more 'traditional' shapes, I tend to throw via the lead wing....

Heya Vinny. I always throw dingle. I find the rang more comfortable to hold this way, with the weight behind my hand. In my mind it feels more balanced this...

Happy New Years Vinny et al, Dingle for me. Seems like the weight snaps over the pinch and gives the stick more spin. It's all in my mind of course, but so...

Nice post, Bob. I've never heard that terminology before - forward/reverse throw. It makes sense. In very windy conditions I sometimes use a pinch grip in...
