Do you like to hold your Dingle...   Message List

... Arm, that is when you throw? (this could be the only place I
could ask that and NOT get punched out!)

I did a quick survey of boomerang websites and searched through this
group as well to see what arm is the preferred arm to throw from.

Some throw from the Lead arm saying let the head of the hammer give
it spin.

Others say the Dingle arm makes a better handle, the balance is
better and improves distance and wind handling.

Of course, many say there is no difference... it doesn't matter...

So, how about you?

What arm do you throw from (and why)?

Related to the above... Do you notice a difference when throwing from
one arm verses the other?

Hi Vinny,  It can go both ways. For the most part, I myself like to throw by Lead Arm, but there's many a boom out there that flys better by a Dingle Arm...

I depends entirely on the shape of the boomerang...vees and omegas, I generally throw via dingle; more 'traditional' shapes, I tend to throw via the lead wing....

Heya Vinny. I always throw dingle. I find the rang more comfortable to hold this way, with the weight behind my hand. In my mind it feels more balanced this...

Happy New Years Vinny et al, Dingle for me. Seems like the weight snaps over the pinch and gives the stick more spin. It's all in my mind of course, but so...
