Here's some answers to questions asked:
The Copper sheeting is 8 mil...
Each square inch is approx 1.25 grams, so without measuring I'm
guessing I've added from approx 5-10 grams depending on the rang.
I used 5 min epoxy and after hand shaping the copper the best I
could, I shaped it with a spoon. Before gluing, I used 80 grit
sandpaper on the wood under the copper, and on the inside surface of
the copper itself.
Ollie... I'm not sure what you want to know about the "fading
airfoils".... I've seen regular "Smith" airfoiling and fading
airrfoils. The main thing is the trailing edges are similar to the
leading edges, reducing lift, while adding a very small touch of
weight and I imagine drag to the wing tips. Feel free to ask me more,
so I can hopefully help in answering your question.
Emmanuel... does my Voyager shaped MTA work? Got me!!! I hope to test
it soon, and will report back.
