The Boomer Shoot is at kind of a crossroads. We need to either move the
location or make some rather extensive modifications to the range. One
of the alternate sites has a great advantage in terms of access to
larger towns, freedom to use larger explosives charges, but the greatest
target range is only about 400 yards and it would be limited to about 25
shooting positions. Other options include a location that can handle
far more shooting positions and we would consider dropping the Friday
shoot. And other option would be only two or three different target
positions available instead of five or six. It is also being considered
to use only the 1 Qt/L size targets (forget the 1/2 pints) and make them
more difficult to shoot at the closer ranges by orientating them on end
to the shooter -- with the downside of increasing the entry fee. I
