The New York Yankees have traded Gary Sheffield to the Detroit Tigers for
Prospects.
Interesting. I guess the prospects are pitching prospects and Sheffield seems
to be happy with
the deal. I forgot Gary played for Leyland and Dombrowski they were all with
the Marlins. I
guess the Tigers have a three day window for an extension. Sheffield will
probably DH mostly with
Ordonez in right field and Gary doesn't have a problem (right now anyway). The
prospects are
Humberto Sanchez, Kevin Whelan & Anthony Claggett.
