I came home from work early yesterday sick as a dog and am home today. I
turned on Monday Night
Football and then the Dodger game but after four runs allowed, I turned off the
game and took a
nap. I woke up to see that Penny was still in the game and that it was 4-4.
Then I dozed off
again and they were losing. I turned it off. Then my brother called to tell me
about the game
and I woke back up to see the score at 9-9 and then 10-9. I then thought that
maybe I should turn
the game off since they seem to play better with me not watching but I didn't
want to move to get
the remote and am glad I didn't as I saw Garciaparra's homerun to win the game.
Just amazing! I
have a theory as to why Brad Penny has been struggling so badly since the All
Star Break, because
he wouldn't give Maddux number 31, I know I'm sick but it sounds good to me. I
also didn't care
for Kenny Lofton's comment about last night's game not being a game the team
really needed to win.
