Maybe it was the positive chi that the Shaolin Monks brought when they did an exhibition performance prior to the game for Chinese Community Night.

Maybe it was the feng shui in the stadium...

That was one of the craziest games ever last night!

We were down four runs by the middle of the first inning and it was starting to look like a replay of Saturday's 11-2 loss.  When Penny's first pitch to the Padres pitcher Peavy (say that fast 3x), someone in the stands yelled out, "It's the pitcher, for crying out loud!"  That made for a good laugh for what looked to be a somber game.

Then we scored one run in the first with Jeff Kent's RBI double and then solo homers by Anderson in the second and Furcal in the third.  We tied it up with back to back doubles by Kent and Drew in the third.

By the bottom of the ninth inning we were back down 9-5, but I guess the Rally Cap thing finally worked because we had BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK HOMERS, tying the game up 9-9!  That's only happened three times before in the history of major league baseball and that was in the 60s!!!!

We went into extra innings and won on Moons Over My HAMMy Garciaparra's two run homer in the 11th, 11-10.

What a game!

Did I mention we're back in FIRST PLACE?!
