I was wrong in the amount of the contract that Steve got. I said that it was a two year 20 Million deal. Actually it's a 2 year 14 Million deal with a third year option that could bring the amount to 20 Million. So basically we paid more for Kent than what we could have had Finley for but that's OK. Steve is going to be 40 in March and Kent will be 37 next year sometime. Finley's agent did take a shot at the Dodgers saying that they are a bunch of "amateurs" compared to the Angels who are a bunch of "professionals". He was talking more about the front office and the handling of Finley. As we know the Dodgers did not offer him arbitration so they get no draft pick from the Angels. On another note, Ray might like this, the Dodgers can choose to not tender outfielder Milton Bradley a contract offer by December 19th, letting him go. DePodesta has all but ruled out that choice even after Bradley's sentencing from a traffic stop in August 2003 while he was a member of the Cleveland Indians. The team knew about that and he still faces of Feb. 22nd trial for his newest altercation with police on November 25th. We'll see what happens. My suggestion to Milton is to stay out of Ohio. I think he has had enough problems with the law in that state. Come back to California and I will cook you a nice dinner. Ha! If I could only cook!
