I thought the Dodger Organization was bad...  I shouldn't say that but at least they didn't pull the blunder that the Diamondbacks did.  Explain to me how you can hire a man to manage your major league team when he was already employed in the minor leagues as a manager and then four days later decide to bail out on him because of questionable background information?  Let's just have a public hanging for this guy?  Wally Backman will probably now never get a job as a major league manager because of the Diamondbacks major league mistake in their so called professional front office.  Yes, the man has had some off the field incidents but if I am not mistaken, the last of those took place about three years ago.  Obviously this man was qualified to manage their Lancaster team.  Do they not check out their background's if they manage a minor league team?  Yes, this man fired for bankruptcy but in this day and age, just how many of us have had money problems where we have either had to file for bankruptcy or had to consolidate our bills?  If I am not mistaken, Jack Clark also filed for Bankruptcy and he was the Dodgers hitting coach.  I understand that this man has had some stuff happen in his past but cmon?  Look at all the breaks players have gotten for testing positive for drugs and are allowed back to play?  We are all human, people make mistakes.  The man did a great job with Lancaster last season and there were no off the field incidents.  I think it's a travesty that he past has had to hinder him when he has made strides to put himself in a better position and has shown that he can manage a baseball team?  I hope that he is able to get some sort of compensation from the Diamondbacks but truthfully, I don't know if that is really enough.  It's a shame how Arizona handled this whole situation.  Good luck with Bob Melvin, another Bill Russell Mr. Personality type of manager.  He did wonders for Seattle after Lou.

P.S.  I am sure that I will be getting some backlash on this but it's my opinion and Arizona was wrong in the handling of this situation.
