It was a most depressing Opening Day yesterday. We had more hits than the
Paads, but we lost 8-2. One of main problems, as it has been in the past, is
leaving baserunners stranded. We should be taking more risks signalling a base
runner at third to come home, but we keep playing it safe.
The recent acquisition of Milton Bradley (don't you love the name?), who got on
base 4x yesterday, looks like the Boys In Blue are headed in the right
direction. They have Greenie at first, which I'm not sure is a good thing.
What happened to Robin Ventura? I thought he was going to play first.
I say we pick up two brothers named Parker and some guy named Hasbro and we've
got the GAME won! :o)
Gagne was awarded the Cy Young by Don Newcombe. Of course, Ron "the Penguin"
Cey, Steve Garvey, Bill Russell, and etc. were on hand for the opening
ceremonies. Brad Paisley sang the National Anthem and it was just too damn
expensive to eat at Dodger Stadium.
Non-baseball Movie of the Week: The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind -
GREAT MOVIE!
