This is how I see it. Maddux is the only marquee name left out there and
the Dodgers are now just entering the free agent market after everyone else is
gone. They are trying to save some face and sign a name. It's like they are
scrambling right now and I don't think that signing Maddux is the answer. I
would rather see that money directed toward a hitter but unfortunately the
Dodgers entered the free agent arena about a month too late.
