I compared them Max only because Murray didn't associate with the press and the rumor was that no sports writer was going to vote for a player such as Eddie Murray to the Hall because he was so nasty to them. My point was that Murray was voted in on his first chance as should Kent and that even if you are nasty to the press, it should not matter, what matters is the numbers. Murray had them obviously, being one of only 4 players to have 3,000 hits and 500 homeruns. Kent's numbers won't be as high as those numbers but as a second baseman, he is possibly one of the best power hitting one's to have ever played the game. Chase Utley I am sure will pass Jeff in the homerun numbers when his career is over but Jeff has been one of the best. Basically the only thing missing for him is a Championship but there are lots of players who never get one and are still in the Hall.
