Thanks so much for sharing the Times article with us. I had read the article when it first came out and was so impressed with it. I have been a LaSorda fan since the mid 1950's when Tommy played for the Montreal Royals. I lived in upstate New York but received the Royals games on Canadian t.v. Tommy still holds some minor league records. He is one of a few pure baseball people remaining. True he bleeds Dodger Blue but, like you said, he bleeds "red, white and blue". He is at the heart and soul of the Dodgers and some day he really needs to be recognized. Maybe even to name the stadium "Lasorda Stadium".
