Well then you would have to have a dislike for the current team as well. I have seen them many times pass up young kids or totally ignore them altogether. I have seen the same from the D-Backs and I remember as far back as getting to meet my hero Fernando and he walked by a group of kids to talk to some hot chick. Later, he turned away from a group of us asking for a autograph!

It is the same in the NHL and NBA, NFL.... and I am sure Manny has done it and will do it too.

Hopefully Manny will not treat the kids like Piazza did by walking
away from them when they asked for autographs or photos. The kids
are the players, owners and most importantly the FANS of the
future. And, like an elephant, kids don't forget when their hero
doesn't take a minute to stop and give them an autograph, take a
photo with them or to talk to them.

screwed him over many years. No comparison in my book but I also
realize you have a disdain ( a little misplaced) for Mike Piazza.

and the Dodgers, I was there saturday nigth, took my 5 year old son,
and he was into the whole game from the monet he hit the hr, to the
last out. He (Ramirez) is one of those special people once you have
him you dont let him go, maybe he is on a decline for for 3 years
but can u name me 5 player you rather have than him, no even Arod
or Pujols have the personality this guys has he will make Mc court
so much money, that the dodger will be better in the long run,
because the will become credible, more FA will want to come and play
here, and with the FA's and the talent pool in teh minors i see a
Dynasty like the Yankees had in the 90's.
