Re: [DODGERS] Re: Sabathia...   Message List

What is amazing to me was the amount of Dodger fans on these boards that were opposed to trading for CC....now, if we had to give up Kemp or Loney, that would not have been good but the asking price was a top prospect and some fringe players (that's what the Indians took) and the Dodgers could have easily done this. The Dodgers can negotiate with CC in the off-season but his agent has already said it is going to take Johan Santana money to sign CC.

3 CG in a row, and people thought I was crazy for wanting Sabathia in
Dodgers blue. You replace any starter's 4 starts with Sabathia and
what do you have? Dodgers in 1st place. But NOOOO, apparently Andy
LaRoche, Cory Wade, James McDonald and Carlos Santana were too much to
pay for increasing the Dodgers' chances of this year's playoff. I had
thought the goal was to, you know, win the championship? Not hoarding
prospects.

Hey, if there is a negative here, he did go 0 for 4.... Who cares
though, he's 4-0 with an ERA of 1.36. Nope, he certainly wasn't needed...
