CREATING CYCLING'S FUTURE...ONE YOUTH AT A TIME
Metro Denver - Boulder - Fort Collins
In its sixth year, with over 40 juniors racing (ranging in age from 9 to 23), and 7 coaches to mentor and support them, Black Sheep Junior Cycling is the largest, and fastest growing junior cycling team in Colorado. Dedicated to supporting and developing junior cycling in Colorado, a group of volunteer coaches, parents and cyclist have come together to provide a healthy environment for young racing enthusiasts. Black Sheep coaches host several practices weekly around the metro area to provide multi-level training for each individual cyclist. Our coaches are committed to making cycling fun and meaningful.
New last year were our Black Sheep ladies. Added to meet the increased interest in junior women's cycling, this integral part of the Black Sheep team burst upon the racing scene, capturing several state championships. Independent activities are scheduled, as well as participation in regular Black Sheep team practices.
The Black Sheep Junior Development program is off and running, preparing to compete at the highest levels in Colorado and the 2009 national Road Racing Championships. This intense program is designed specifically for those racers who have proven their abilities and commitment to racing. Personal coaching will aid them in achieving their maximum personal potential.

Blacksheep Junior Cycling holds the primary objective that it should produce and contain members who are informed, curious, constructive and creative; who know how to think critically, to evaluate issues and to distinguish truth from error and who possess an appreciation of the cultural and aesthetic values of life. The goal of Blacksheep Cycling is to encourage youth talent and, regardless of socio-economic level, allow those individuals to learn, train, and compete on an even playing field.
