Group Members!!!
There are 16 ski resorts in Iran, but the most famous and largest of them
is Dizin. The resort has a reputation for excellent snow often like powder, high
altitude (one of the world's 40 highest ski centers) and the north facing slopes
of Mt Sichal. The resort length is 4 km with 950 meters vertical descents at
altitudes of 3600 to 2650 meters from the see level.
The ski facilities include 3 gondola lines, 2 chair lifts and 6 T-bar lifts. The
main line takes from first station in height of 2650 m to a restaurant in the
middle of the mountain at about 3175 m where there are many other lifts
including the one that takes to the top just below the summit of Mt sichal.
In the upper slopes of Dizin there are magnificent panorama of 4387 m Mt
Kholeno, 4210 m Mt Sarakchal, 4156 m Mt Koloun Bastak, 5671 m Mt Damavand in the
east and 4850 m Mt Alamkouh in the west.
snow disappears in Dizin on summer, but skiing continues, in the recent years
grass skiing has become popular and several international competitions have been
held in Dizin.
Distance between Tehran and Dizin from the Karaj-Chalous road is about 123 km
and via Shemshak road is 71 km. Dizin has 2 hotels, 19 cottage and 5
restaurants.
I will send you more pictures of this Ski Resort in a few days.
There is a reliable source to get information and plan to go to Iran For Ski,
Mountain Ski and Ski touring: http://www.iralto.com
Hope you enjoy it!

Damavand

Damavand is an impressive strata volcano with height of 5671 meters that is located in center of Alborz mountain range about 80 km NE of Iran's capital city, Tehran. It is the highest peak in Iran and the highest volcano in the Middle East. The summit crater is about 150m wide and 20m deep with a 40m diameter frozen lake in the bottom. The mountain and its surrounding areas are so proper places to climbing, skiing, and hiking.
There are 4 main routes to climb:
1-Southern route: it is the general route and has two shelters in 3000m and 4150m, and the preferred route for Skiing in Winter and Spring
2-West route: with one shelter (4150m) and beautiful view of green plain of Lar is an attractive way.
3-North face: with two huts (4000m and 4600m) and steep slopes is the most difficult route, especially in winter ascents.
4-Route of NE: is the longest way, but
valley of Yakhar and its icy wall is visible. It has one shelter (4200m).
None of these routes are technical, but in winter ascents, because of extreme conditions and cold weather and heavy snow, having complete equipments and experience is necessary.

The best time for Skiing in Damavand region is from March to mid June
for more info and pictures of Damavand visit the link below: http://www.iralto.com/en/iran-mountains.htm#1

Hello Everyone! I'm not selling anything!
I wanted to inform you about a wonderful travel company myself, my
mother and thousands of other people are members of, Your Travel

joining YTB.
YTB is one of the largest online travel sites in the world offering
travel savings on everything from air, hotel, cruises, car rental,
package deals, spa vacations, group trip, golf tee times, show
tickets, amusement parks I can't name all the ways to save using YTB.
If you are interested in starting a home based biz in travel you can
do so through YTB
BUT you don't have too!!!!!
If your over paying for the high cost of travel I urge you to give
me a call.
If your in NYC and would like to come to a Travel party to learn
more about YTB give me a shout. If your not in NYC and would like to
have a Travel party to inform you and others about YTB I can have a
Rep come to you at no cost and no obligation it would just be an
information session. Forward this email if you like and check out
the site www.mntravel.biz.

JOINING YTB ALLOWS YOU TO TRAVEL AS A TRAVEL PROFESSIONAL.
YTB DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU TO SELL ANYTHING EVER !!!!!!!
YTB IS NOT A PYRAMID!

All, Thank you for choosing to travel with the Black Diamond Duster
Ski Club. We are here to serve you. Thanks to all who have sent your
deposits. We must adhere to the deposit schedule (the earlier the
better actually). There are still 5 spots left and you don't want your
friends to miss out.

We are leaving the country so it is imperative you have a Passport or
equivalent forms of acceptable identification. We are traveling with
Air Canada. Departing LAX 11:40am Thursday and Returning from
Vancouver 3:15pm Monday. You may call Air Canada directly for
identification requirements if you do not have a passport.

Enclosed is an old schedule to give first-timers some ideas of what
to expect. We usually do a club dinner on Friday night in one of the
Condos however since our club chefs will not be attending this year we
will have the club dinner at one of the local establishments for a
nominal fee (~$15 dollars). There are so many great restaurants in
Whistler.

Check out the Ziptrek link. Black Diamond Dusters went to Whistler
this past summer and you talkin about a RUSH!!! To dangle upside-down
in mid-air (oooohhhhhh). This was a blast in the Summer (involved a
bit of climbing). Almost as good as s.... (skiing that is). We will
secure group rates if there is enough interest.
