That’s a 24’ van, thank
you. (that was sooo much fun)
How about this – if Stan can make it in & out of there, no
problems with a Suburban! J
Seriously, you should be fine in that
setup. One note, I wouldn’t attempt going beyond Fisher Valley
toward Bull Draw via the Kokopelli in a vehicle, some tricky terrain in there
& lots of vehicles get stuck. Going around should be a breeze.

If an overloaded 16' rear-wheel drive moving van can make it
into Fisher Valley via Onion Creek Road, then back out again in the rain,
sleet, hail, snow and resultant mud (ala Bikerpelli spring '07), a 4x4 Suburban
with a tent trailer should be no problem. Though a little
rutted, Fisher Valley isn't serious "off roading."
A group of us is planning a 4 day supported trip this
spring. We were
wondering if a Suburban could pull a tent trailer into the campgrounds
at Bitter Creek, Cowskin, and Bull Draw.
Also will the suburban have any trouble getting into fisher valley via
onion creek road (fisher valley rd?). I figure one could drop the
trailer at 128, go in and do the sag support, then back to 128, pick
up the trailer and take it to Bull Draw.
4wd suburban with skidplate but it isn't a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
the tent trailer has had the axle switched to under the leaf springs
instead of on top of them so it has a little more clearance but it
isn't the off road model

Good to hear from you Dan. Also glad to hear your shoulder healed. We have a
fairly large posse coming this year from Longmont. 6 of total with two on the
waitlist. I hope you're able to get a spot.
Have a great weekend!

The first ride was not for the faint of heart or weak of spirit. One might say
the first ride was the breeding ground for stories that will get better with
age.
First ride here we come!

Usually there's a group heading out from OC (Trail Angels?) so maybe you can generate some interest in carpooling. I'd definitely consider it but there'd have to be a stop or two in Ut. to ride.

If anyone is going, to do the later May 8-11 ride, would they please
contact me about car pooling, before registration starts?
I'd love to do this ride, but car pooling is the only realistic way
from soCal...

Currently working on RideChat – basically
an onsite message board (a very simple one) where riders can post a note to
others. We should have it running in the next day or two. These will
eventually be on every event site as sort of an event “bulletin board.”

Strangely quiet this year. Where's the Bikerpelli
loyalist's. Probably still hung over from
New Year's.

What's that, 10% off for each year you did Bikerpelli. That's great
Alex. Just kidding. :-)

Those of you looking for the 2008 info,
it’ll be up shortly, within the next week or so. We’re putting together
a whole new website for all the events and adding three new trips for the ’08
season. Details soon.
If you’re a veteran of past trips
you’re already on the wake-up call list, so you’ll get a head’s
up before registration begins.

I checked the website (bikerpelli.com) but there wasn't any info
for 2008, EXCEPT at http://www.bikerpelli.com/Sign_Up.htm there's
a link to send an e-mail to info@bikerpelli.com, so you can get
your name/e-mail address on a list to be notified when the info is available in
January. Previous trips have filled up within eighteen hours of the
announcement, so check your e-mail several times a day starting on January
1 and be ready to register as soon as you see the announcement (u snooz u

Trying to get a heads up on next years trip and sign-up dates but the
e-mails to info@ bikerpelli.com are getting kicked back, does any one

Thanks,

big city paranoid people? I grew up in a small town and also lived in very
isolated areas for more than a few of my 55 years, and had more stuff ripped
off there out in the middle of nowhere, than I ever have in my "big city"
(of 50,000 population). Sounds like a pretty ignorant remark to me. know
what they say about making ASSumptions. And why would I worry about my bike,
when its going to be with me the whole time? Engage brain before opening
mouth. LOL
