I am thinking of doing this ride.  I want to talk by phone with people
who have done it.  I am a 54 year old man, live near Boulder, have done
several Ride-the-Rockies, a cross-USA ride, and run marathons, but not

Last year the first list sold out in an unbelievable two hours. There
was then a supplemental weekend and a multitude of emails explaining
how to trade spots, etc. I was so confused.

I would suggest that the sign up list is more for the power to select
the weekend you want to ride. If you are in the top 40, you would have
the first right to the weekend of your choice. The second 40, the next
choice, etc., until you are out of weekends. Swapping can then happen
between consenting adults after the dust settles. Wait, that came out
wrong....LOL

The old 1996ish Living-X Team bike is dead.

Just a week after bikerpelli#1 and 1.5 days after aquiring a 2003
Specialized Epic named, "the queen of the pawn shop," I was commuting
in on the old Living-X bike and the chainstay snapped on a tiny bump
with a little turn on it.

Bikerpelli really was the retirement ride for that bike. I'm fortunate
it held together to the end.

So long living-X bike; we had some great times. Thanks for hanging
tough through all of Bikerpelli for me.
*sniff*

Sure thing, there's another hundred or so where those came from!

I'll put them on a cd and mail you a copy.

Alex,

Thanks for the GREAT trip! (#1)....Keith and I enjoyed
it immensely.  You were very organized, and
knowledgeable about the trail....(famous last words:
"it's ride-able, and middle chain ring" :*) It's all
good! We will do more hill training next year!

Loved all the single track, sag stops, people,
campfires, food, beer, and oh yea...shuttles!  Next
year...that 12 mile climb is ours! (we'll see....)
To all the Franks...(Frank #1 -Frank OPP....you guys
rock!  I enjoyed the OPP group. They had good bike war
stories!  Only the few lucky witnessed the animal fur
jock strap on the second day!

  You guys are the best! OPP delivered.. I mean you covered all bases-
hill climbing, screaming descents(rose garden cleaning ,porcupine)
fuzzy jock strap streaking and electromagnetic stories and most of all
your enduring personalities. A real pleasure to be around. Thanks for
waiting up for me and hope to cross paths again. I think I should get
up to leadville for some more inspiration from Ken. I'll send you that
