RE: [Bikerpelli] kokopelli solo?

Maureen,

Yes, it is very possible to do Kokopelli's trail self-supported (and WAY
more enjoyable, if you ask me)! A couple friends of mine did the trip a few
years back from Loma to Moab and it was a top 3 highlight of my life thus
far! I don't know about having a car/tent at every overnight destination...
but you can "stash" coolers of food, gallons of water, bike parts, etc. at
different car-accessible spots along the route. On a west to east track, we
stashed stuff at Rabbit Valley and Dewey Bridge. This worked out well. I'd
love to chat more about this.

I have some photos of our trip here:

I tried many times today, but missed the window of opportunity to register
for Bikerpelli 2006. So, the alternatives are to do it solo, or with
another group.

Is it possible to do the Kokopelli trail (Fruita to Moab) solo? Can you
drive your car/tent/etc to the overnight destination each night, then bike
to the trail head and bike to your overnight site?

Maureen

Sorry you missed the ride. You could drive to each camp site and then ride the trail in reverse and back, but it would take you twice as long. There are no...
