Glad you like it! I have another and even better one (you can see Penelope in
all her beauty!) which I'll upload later today... it be the wee hours of the
morning now! :)

I'd like one of those also but don't know where to put it. We need to build a

Thanks Sue and HardyBob for the response. I think I am going to get
the BikeE tandem. It has the same drive train as the RX. Thanks for
the input.

Ruben,
I was in Anaheim, CA on a business trip this week, and I took time to
visit the People Movers bike store. Their store is about as strange
as their web site (I like strange). They have all types of recumbent
bikes including the BikeE RX.
I was able to do a little test ride after dark in the poorly lighted,
flat parking lot behind the store. I was not able to go very fast and
there were no hills to test the bike on, so all I can say is that I
rode an RX. It is just as easy to ride as my AT and has 27 gears
instead of 21. The RX I rode did not have the front shock, but there
were no bumps to test the bike on anyway. The RX is shorter than the
AT and the rear frame does not extend out over the rear tire. The RX
does have higher pressure tires.
The bike mechanic said the RX with a front shock requires the removal
of the front tire to connect a pump to the valve stem of the air
shock located on the underside of the front stem. Since the air shock
doesn't need to pumped up very often I don't know it that is a
problem. I am not sure how a front fender would complicate things
with the front air shock.
I would like to take an RX out for a good test ride, but I have not
seen one in any of the local bike stores around where I live.

Below is a message I posted to the HPV list which details the possible
drawbacks of the RX (really aint none!) and the advantages. In a nutshell, I
think it's the most awesome bicycle you can get! :)

Does anyone have any feedback on the RX models with the new mid-drive
system? I'm curious if this brings the perfomance level up a bit. I'm
intersted in the tandem also. Anyone have feedback on this model too?
Thanks.
Ruben
Thanks for compliments about my website... lots of work.
My opinion of the RX: I love it... plainly and simply... I think it's
absolutely the ultimate bicycle! All a person would ever want. Speedy, ease
on hills, fantastic on off the road manuevers and rides like a Lincoln
Continental. In my humble opinion, the RX has got 'em all beat. I've had mine
for three weeks now and think it is one of the most pleasurable things in
life! Why you should get one? Because life is too short to not get one! :)
:)

Sue,
I was looking for information on the web about the new BikeE RX. I
could not find much information except on BikeE's website. I found
nothing on cost or availability. What is your opinion of your RX now
that you have had more time to ride it?
In searching on "BikeE" I did find several links to your websites
which led me to photos and other great stuff. I appreciate all of
your work to get things on the web. Great photos!

It's been gray and drizzly here, but not bad enough to stop me from
riding a bit on my day off today. I'm dying to ride it for my usual
commute, but it's going to take a while to build up those new muscle
groups!

Congrads. My experience says two things will happen upon your wise purchase:
1. The weather will suddenly get inclement for a week or two (it's been
raining here for three days steady and it NEVER rains here) G-r-r-r-r
(buying a new bike must be worse than washing the car!)
2. You WILL get addicted. Oh, but what a happy addiction!

Sue,
Thanks for the good comments.
If you feel comfortable posting photos, I would like to see them. I
also like train photos.
Cycle Oregon is a week long fully supported bike ride. Every year it
goes through a different part of Oregon. This year was the 13th year
of this event, but it was our first time. Cycle Oregon was always
something I dreamed of doing but never really thought I would. The
ride was a real challenge for us. We would not have been on the ride
except for our BikeE's. We did find that we rode slower than most
other riders except on the downhill sections.
This year Cycle Oregon went from Paisely, Oregon to Hood River,
Oregon. The total miles was between 406 and 562 depending on what
options were taken. Each day was a different length or ride between
50 and 100 miles. You can find out more about this event by going to
www.cycleoregon.com.

Wow, COOL photos. I have some trains photos up on webshots but none of my
bike photos. You think folks would like to see our San Diego photos up there?
Was this ride you went on some kind of century or metric century? Congrads
for finishing!

Thanks Bob,
I think, you do not have as much control of attached photos as you
think. I know that my attached photo was viewable by me and Sue must
have viewed it too from what she said in her posting. I know I was
able to view the photo Sue attached to her posting. So I am not aware
of any delay in viewing the postings with photos attached.
I just thought you would like to know.

Great pic! On my tube,it even LQQks like you have the blue bike and
your wife the pink one (I know the AT is red, it just looks pink on
my monitor).
Welcome to the group - sorry for the delay in posting your pic as I
was gone for a few days. As moderator, I have retained the ability
to approve pictures (Keeps the wackos and porno people from posting
filth etc - also I would welcome some bikini bike riders....)

Oh, the RX is in a class by itself. In 50 years of riding bikes (and I never
stopped since I learned when I was 6.5 years old) I have NEVER in my life
ridden anything like the RX (I have the front and back suspension model). It
feels the closest to flying I've ever felt. It's much easier to pedal than the
AT. It's real fast - I mean one can get up to speed in no time at all. It's
great on hills. And with all of that, it gives the most awesome smooth ride.
It doesn't get any better than this! :)
Velma is taking the new addition of Penelope pretty well. I'll have to ride
her sometimes also or she'll feel neglected of course. :)

Hi Sue,
Thanks for responding to my hello posting.
I am very interested in how you like your new RX as compared to your
AT. We love our AT's, but when we ride with other non BikeE riders we
always end up at the end of the pack. I am sure much of the problem
is us, but I was wondering if the RX would be a faster bike with
everything else being the same.
How is Velma taking the new addition?
Our bikes have names too. Laural's blue AT is "Tigger" and my red AT
is "BikeEyore".
"Hardy" Bob
Bob and Laural, welcome! You seem a fine looking couple from your photo!
I have just become a two BikeE owner since I picked up my new RX today! Oooh,
what a bike! I was grinning all the way home! (my other bikeE is an AT named
Velma)
My husband is a Longbike Slipstream person - we ride around a lot also.
Sue

I was delighted to find a BikeE group on Egroups. My wife and I purchased
our BikeE's a little over a year ago and have put over 1,300 miles on them.
This photo was taken from the top of the Marquam Bridge (Interstate Highway
5) in Portland, OR. Once-a-year the bridges are closed to car traffic and
turned over to bicycles and pedestrians. The event is called the Bridge
Pedal and the route covers about 26 miles and goes over 8 of the 10 bridges
in Portland.
