Oops. You are wanting to get the right side off. Turn the right side to the left to get it off.
 
 
Turn both to the front to get them on.
 
Turn both to the rear to get them off.

WD40 is not a lubricant or penetrating oil. It is a water dispersant made for the USAF back in the
50's or 60's.
 
Make sure you are turning it to the right to get it off.
