I have since changed the handle bars to something better than the
stock items.The handle bar stem is no longer made, but someone on
this group had a couple for sale and I bought it. Also bought fenders.

Wow! $600 new with a 1-yr warrantee??!! That's an incredible
price. I've seen a number of used RX's sell for more than that on
eBay.

Do you recall what the differences were between the RX & the FX that
made the FX worth $200 more? (Or at least that raised his cost by
$200 so that he couldn't sell it for the same discounted retail as
the RX.)

When you say you changed the handlebars to something "better", what
do you mean by that? I have a bone stock '98 CT & find the
handlebars just fine.
