The E2 is very well-mannered at low speeds, more so than any other
recumbent tandem I've owned (I've had four of them - S&B, R82, Screamer,
E2). For city riding where starts, stops, and tight maneuvering are
important, there is none better. It is also well suited for
short-legged captains. It can creep confidently along in a crowd of
pedestrians on a trail, or pick its way over rough ground. And it was
bargain priced even when new.
Some of them have trouble shifting on their triple crankset, but this
problem is fixable, so contact the list if you have that on one you buy.
If you are a hammerhead who want to keep up with the club, don't bother.
If you are a practical cyclist, this is the one. I'm definitely
holding on to mine. I have one and a complete spare, along with a good
supply of spare parts.
