Re: Opinions on E2

Hey Chris, i would second all the comments from the other E2 riders
who responded to your question. The E2 is loads of fun.
The only thing that i can add is IMHO the E2 is not a racing machine,
its built for comfort and it does that very well.
The biggest difference from the up-rite that you will find is just
learning to relax. The more relaxed and less tense you ride, the
easier it will be... its almost a Zen kind of thing. And the opposite
is true also, the more tense you are the more difficult things become
and the less enjoyable the whole experience is (for everyone). Once
you get the hang of it you'll realize that all the power comes from
your butt muscles through your legs to the peddles. If you start
applying any pressure or tension on the handlebars, trying to use them
as leverage like you would on an up-rite then all of sudden things get
squirrelly... and the stoker starts freaking out :)
If your anywhere near the Sacramento area we would be glad to let you
take it for a spin.

... The E2 is very well-mannered at low speeds, more so than any other recumbent tandem I've owned (I've had four of them - S&B, R82, Screamer, E2). For city...
