Really there is not much to do in there. I just grease the bearings every now and then. You need to use the correct grease/oil in the little ratchets or the may run dry or get stuck if the grease is too thick. I don't know the actual requirements only that it is possible to mess up. I would say don't mess with it beyond th bearings.
There is another BikeE mailing list with more extensive archives and a larger membership (but similar low levels of activity).

Hello,
I am a new Bike-E owner and member and this is my first post. Been
reading the archives to catch up, since I have had 2 CT's for less
than 2 weeks. On one CT I am going through both hubs to clean and
grease them, but I need a little help.
I have been looking for some info on the Disassembly of the 3spd rear
hub. I have taken the cassette off, but the plate with the bearing
remains on it. How does it come off? Then there is the axle inside the
hub, how does that thing come out? The axle slides side to side but it
will not slide out. I just don't want to force anything
and damage it.
Any help is appreciated,
Thanks,
Ron
